Re: Laser CNC kicker cover shim **IDEA**

The Kymco drive face doesn't have the lip or shoulder on the inside towards the belt. I have 7 af16 and sc10as in service on frames right now so it's hard to remember which has what and to articulate what was necessar, but it's too easy to do it as wheelman described and you can be worry free. Laser CNC kicker cover shim **IDEA**

Gents, IÔÇÖm wondering if anyone would be interested in me getting some CNC kicker shims created for the use of the ZX trans setup. This would be used to properly shim out the kicker case 1mm out to run the ZX boss correctly. With not impacting or binding the kicker components. Just want to get a fe...

Re: Polini variator with boss issues

i've been using the 5.6 grams. the other set i have are 6.9grams.

Roller Numbers
5.6 grams x 3 = 16.8 grams
5.6 grams x 6 = 33.6 grams
6.9 grams x 3 = 20.7 grams
6.9 grams x 6 = 41.4 grams

6.9 grams x 3 + 5.6 grams x 3 = 37.5 combo mixed

Re: upgraded gears in the AF16E motor

So here is how i stopped the gear from smashing on inside the case. I bought these from the local auto parts store "Oriley's" These washers are 23.95mm wide x 1.24mm thick http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h216/dem0nk1d/Honda%20Elite%20SA50/IMG_20150816_131555_zpsitu7muyr.jpg http://i65.ph...

Re: Gear installation problem

Gents, http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx159/trafficjamz2/diogears.jpg make sure that #6 isn't backwards. i know it sounds stupid but if you flip it upside/backwards everything will rotate just nicely without the cover, and as soon you tighten bolts it locks everything up. just give it a shot. Re: Polini variator with boss issues

thanks, for the info. i got the gears dialed in on the bike i will post an update later on my fix from my other post. I just ran around the block with the Stage 1 setup from Scooter Swap Shop. which is the 15x42 gear set, Polini Variator with boss, rollers, belt, springs... and i think that's it. I'...

Polini variator with boss issues

So reading over Wheelman's post that you must shim out the kicker case. I will investigate future into this later today. What are the cause and effects of using the stock boss vs the polini once the case is shimmed out? Also anyone have an ideal size of washer thickness that is being used? As discus...

Re: upgraded gears in the AF16E motor

I had a set do this as well exact same spot, I put a shim on the axle that sat inside the seal right on the bearing and problem solved. It was the Tida straight cut gears, the gear is about 1mm thicker then stock and my other set of 8.44s that I have. What gears do you have there? Do you know the t...

Re: upgraded gears in the AF16E motor

i removed everything, only kept the secondary gear and axle in. everything still bound up, either which way i had the gear. i think something is up with the machining.
