Re: ZX trans how-to
I hope those pipes get there for you today! The v8 really isn't loud, I live in a neighborhood and have never gotten any dirty looks. And as for jetting, on the stock bore and carb I jetted it at 88. Oh and just punch the extra air inlet hole out if you haven't already on your airbox.

Re: 48mm Spree BBK(taz)
I realize the variaor must be a huge challenge to make, my thought is just that the spree might not need a 48mm bore if the variator was developed first. * a stock spree might be able to hit 40 with just vari.

Sounds like its running on the extra fuel the bystarter gives it at cold start.
Your jets are probaly a little gummy. Remove and clean carb just to make sure.

Search, carving out for a ruckus.
Ruckus varis are larger diameter, people carve their case to fit it, just barely fits.

Re: Mini stroke a stock bore???
what bear said makes me wonder why when you are putting a piston into a car, the rule is to space the gap of the rings evenly, like a certain ammount of degrees from each other, but they will move around once you drive it the first time. every car piston i have pulled usually has the gaps all in the...

On all my honda scoots if there is oil in the tank it is never on.
I have never actually seen this light illuminated.
Should always be off methinks.

Re: Dio motor. Rebuild?
Just to replace the gear oil and do big bore, there is no need to split the case. You will just need a transmission gasket because it will most likely be messed up when you take it off. Depending on the big bore if its just like a 47mm or 48mm you won't need to do case work. Edit: wow just re read t...
