It will easily double your tsp(top speed potential)
For instance spree with vented/drilled clutch drum=60mph
But really it does seem to help, and I do love the wistle the clutch drum makes on decel.

Re: Backfire goes to the dragstrip for the first time.
Oh and you have the same v8 as me, and when I was 50cc, it did kinda kill my takeoff a little. Before big bore I ended up with 7g weights, and a 1.5spring
Good luck! The scoot looks good and I dig your clutch cover mod.

Re: Backfire goes to the dragstrip for the first time.
Sluggish starts is usually an over rich idle situation. Try messing with your a/f screw. Screw it out for less fuel/more air at idle, that might give you a bit of pep off the line.

Re: My 2001 elite 50 build-up
So I rode to work today, first time really relying on the new bore to get me someplace and everything worked out great. The only thing is I can max out my gearing pretty easy on the flats, so I was wondering if anyone wants to trade their 8.4:1 s for my 9:1s?? I have a 2001 sa5o, so if anyone is int...

Re: 1981 Honda melody Engine swap (not a spree/elite i know)
Unfortunately, the melody is like a spree in the way that it has no cvt, so it has less of a top speed potential because they have to gear it so it can have acceptable takeoff. What I wass implying is that many honda scoots with cvts have a stock top speed of 35 and mods to get them to 45, like the ...

Re: 1981 Honda melody Engine swap (not a spree/elite i know)
And that would be nice to bolt up a new honda motor, but the mounts are different, so you can't just slap it on. Welding to retrofit the existing mount will be needed. Maybe try and sell your scoot for a different honda? A elite 80 will go a solid 50 stock usually, even though they are ugly..

Re: 1981 Honda melody Engine swap (not a spree/elite i know)
Maybe buy a parts elite 150 or something like that, but with that there will be welding and metal fab work to be done. Also there is the electrical, so you will need the wiring harness and controls to be switched over, unfortunately swapping in different engines isn't very easy, your best bet for ea...

Re: different shocks for more clearance?
Daywot and other vendors have shocks that will work on pretty much any honda scooter, I think stock is 260 or 270, so maybe check out his 300. I think limp at sleepyscooters has an adjustable one, let us know how it goes off the beaten path.

Re: i need a pg exhaust expert...
Thanks baka.
And ch murphay, I already have the 28mmv8, the other v8 is made for huge bores(90cc pluss) and the 28mm v8 I have is best for stock bores to tell you the truth, not tuned 72 or 74cc kits like in my case.
