Re: 99 SA50P build help

I personally use the keli variator and haven't had any problems yet. No experience with the polini vari, I'm sure others have though. Are you still running the stock exhaust? And for the trailtech, I use their vapor model, make sure you dont have any kinks in the wires as it could have frayed the co...

Re: Pink/Cream Spree

The hardest thing was the floorboard. I sanded as much as I could between all the ridges. Hopefully it sticks for a long time to come! I just covered mine with a piece of diamond plate I was thinking of doing that or doing some grip tape on thin sheetmetal. If it starts chipping I'll cover, if not ...

Re: 66SIX Spree Build / YES IT"S FASTER

A really strong solvent that can strip paint is called M.E.K. You can find it at home depot. I used it to clean/strip my frame before sending it off to powdercoating. Just don't breath the fumes. :surprise:  ya haha! it starts with a nice lightheaded feeling then a headache that'll never go ...

Re: 99 SA50P build help

I'm runnin the corsa with a 24mm carb and 8.4's and breaking 60. I do have an expansion chamber though. Sounds like its more transmission tuning than anything. Try the vari and some clutch springs to help your take off and get back with results.

Re: Pink/Cream Spree

Night Cruiser- My method consists of: a lot of sanding. Started with 150 grit on the spots that had deep gouges to smooth them out. Also had to work out a good 10 stickers that were backed into the panels. Took some thinner and muscle to get those out. Then 220 on everything until very smooth, but e...

Re: Pink/Cream Spree

I did a test panel (actually a left over piece from my af18 spree that I hacked off). Took quite the effort to scratch through all the way down to the red. Could also bend the panel to a 90 degree angle and it wouldnt crack. Hopefully it lasts. If it gets screwed up over the next few years I'll sand...

Re: Pink/Cream Spree

Well here it is in crappy garage lighting. I'll take better pics once its nice outside if that happens again before next summer. Its not quite put together in the first pic but i wanted to show the paint on the inside of the front plastics and up the head unit. http://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff...

Re: Pink/Cream Spree

Pink/Cream Spree

My mom has been bugging me to paint her spree for a while now. Here is a teaser while I let it cure for a few days before re installing the panels. Used a duplicolor adhesion promoter + lots of sanding. Everything seemed to adhere quite nicely. http://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff386/jverbrugghe/M...

Re: af18 spree

I would be afraid of going on the highway with this thing because of how thin my front tire is. It could easily get stuck in a crack and veer me off course. It cruises nicely 35-45 and according to my trail tech head unit I have hit 63.8mph on flat. Will need to find someones GPS and verify that my ...

Re: af18 spree

Ya. Was plannin on doin a rattle can job. With the body panels I cut up I saved the excess and have been playing around with different adhesion promoters and primers. Got a pretty good combo figured out. Much body work to be done first. Still kind of just want to bring it to a body shop and have the...
