Re: 1984 Honda Aero
Oops, might have been helpful but not to Slolife - the 84 NB50 had the electronic choke.

Re: 1984 Honda Aero
If you have the heat activated by-starter, you will not be able to adjust the carburetor unless it is functioning properly. In general you can replace the lines with clear hose and get a good feel for whether or not it is working right - when cold, you should see fuel flowing thru the fuel lines and...

82 urban express variator question
Hi all, I'm not having any luck searching other forums so I thought I'd ask here. I'm putting a new belt on my Urban Express and cleaning the grease out of the variator while I'm in there. I'm wondering if I should leave the backing plate off or put it back on. Has anyone removed theirs? Notice any ...

Is it really a 50?
This is the second time I've seen an ad for a Honda Aero 50 that looks to be an 80. Is it possible that Honda made a 50 in this design - an NH50 as opposed to an NB50? Either way, I can't possibly fit another project in the garage, but looks like someone should. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/mcy...

Re: 1984 Honda Aero
Because 2-strokes engines receive their lubrication from the fuel (in the case of mixed gas and oil) or oil injector pumps which add oil to the fuel before going into the crankcase, you should only use mixed fuel to prime them. Starter fluid actually removes whatever lubrication is in there already ...

Re: 87 se50 oil issue
BTW - yes, the oil pump is adjustable sorta (see lubrication section in service manual). However, that adjustment is simply to make sure that the split throttle cable (one cable goes to carb, other to pump) is opening the pump fully at wide open throttle. Checking that adjustment per the manual is ...

Re: 87 se50 oil issue
If you are running it for the first time in a long while, there is a good chance that oil has been leaking slowly into the crankcase thru the pump. The seals in these old oil pumps have a tendency to go bad and oil will seep into the crankcase while it is sitting. It may be that your muffler needs c...

Re: Lost key 87 spree nq50
You would have to remove plastics to get to the ignition switch (where you put the key in). The code is obvious on the body of the switch. Any Honda Motorcycle Dealer should have the ability to cut a key from the code. Better yet, un-bolt the ignition switch from the frame, disconnect the wires and ...

Re: Lost key 87 spree nq50
There is a code on the ignition - most Honda Dealers can make a key from it. There are reports in the forum of charges from about 5$ to 15$. My dealer charges 6$. Make sure you call ahead and they have the machine. Also, they sometimes require proof of ownership - a bill of sale will do. good luck.

Re: * honda spree
hello to all! so the problem with my Honda spree is that every single time I turn the throttle the engine start to jump/*/idle weird... I'm not exactly sure how to explain it. it just * rapidly making the whole scooter vibrate until I get around 5-10 mph, after that it runs fine! . I don't know how...

Re: Found an 85 aero 80 for $500
Good luck Pat, I have a blue '85 80 and love it. However, I find myself hopping on the 125 more and more just to keep up with 45+ mph traffic. The 80 will keep up but not as well. I am very interested to hear how much you get out of just the reed swap. Hopefully you will be able to evaluate how much...

Re: hi new to the forum carb issue
I believe there are 2 main things that can cause the over flow: 1) The float valve seat is not sealing off - clean the carb and pay special attention to polishing the float valve seat - see the carb cleaning tips and pay special attention to "Carburetor, Resurfacing Needle Valve Seat" on W...

Re: 1982 Honda Urban Express NU50M questions
C'mon double M, I had to act - when I got there she had a line waiting so I had to make a decision. I figured it was worth it so I pulled the trigger. It seems to be all there, rides well, only concern was the new bore at 2200 miles. Either way, I'm happy to keep it but also happy to let it live in ...
