Re: Help! Pulled the wrong bolt

Looks like you have the CH80 Elite. You are not alone in mistaking that bolt for the oil drain - no harm done as long as you don't crank it before you replace it. Here is a blurb from another site about that: I am separating the Elite 80 from the bigger scooters because it has a unique drain plug lo...

Re: Cracked Carb

Can you tell us which piece of the carb has a crack (bowl or top) - might be easier to find a piece than whole carb.

Re: Is this cylinder toast?

Uncanny resemblance - strange though, I consider myself quite the old cartoon trivia buff but don't remember ol Breezly. Might have to have my first avatar... Didn't sell the Urban - funny, got very little interest - maybe priced too high. I love it though and it turned out great, just don't see get...

It was on my NH125 Aero - fits NB50 Aeros and the Elite - looks like it will fit my 2001 Elite also - but not my 85 Aero 80.

Re: Honda Aero 80 drop in top speed

Looks like the 84 does have the thermal operated choke - to see if your choke is causing your problems, you can simply cap off the nipples on the intake and carb once the engine is warmed up (taking the choke completely out of the equation) and see if it resolves anything. Check that link for a desc...

Re: Honda Aero 80 drop in top speed

+1 on opening up that left side cover and checking things out - if belt and rollers are only 200 mile old, probably ok but worth checking out. What year is your Aero 80? Mine is an 85 and has the thermal/vacuum choke - if yours has that type choke, here is a quick link to how to by-pass it - either ...

Re: Need general tips on repairing a 1986 Honda Spree

Mike must have had some coffee - does the time on your post really say "3:38 am"? Start by downloading the service manual available on this forum. Lot's of good info in his post - I would recommend the check-list approach, then for each item on the list, read up in this forum about the pro...

Re: crank seal replacement

If you just want to replace the seals, the hardest part is removing them. You'll have to remove the left side cover and front drive pulley on one side, and the fan cover, fan, and stator on the other - the service manual (available from this site) will be a big help here if you're not comfortable wi...

I'll remember that next time - it was a nice, red 87 SE50, not running but $100.00.

Hope you got yours.

CL find

And the hits just keep on coming: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/mcy/3943759075.html Just got one of these a couple weeks back - like new but piston frozen - paid 175, put another 150 into it and it's running great. Can't ignore this one though - not as purdy but look at that glove box (mine is c...

Speedo cable equivalents - 87 SE50

Looking for a replacement speedo cable and housing for a 1987 Elite SE50. The one I have has a broken cable with part of the cable frozen in the housing. Honda seems to have the cable but not the cable and housing. Wondering if anyone knows of an equivalent cable to use. I'm working on freeing up th...
