Re: Gyro Canopy not shifting

The one I had was a Uni sea foam green colored filter. I ordered a foam one that fits the box. It didn't have the holes like yours. I thought I saw one in a website with rubber around it and paper element in the middle. Not sure what the original filter looks like.

Re: Gyro Canopy not shifting

Now wondering how many hours would it be to replace those parts? I think I saw an ad for $50 per hour for a scooter/motorcycle mechanic

Re: Gyro Canopy not shifting

I was curious so did a bit of poking around. When you say 'shift' do you mean change gear? If so, I doubt it'll do that as it has a CVT according to WikiP. If a CVT would it have a clutch with plates or the usual centrifugal arrangement of a CVT? Could of course be that the CVT clutch shoes and/or ...

Re: Gyro Canopy not shifting

Got a belt and roller kit from Japan. Took only 3 days from the day they notified me. Do I need a new clutch? Trying to change what's needed before I bring the Canopy to a scooter mechanic to install the ordered parts. Hoping after these replacement, my ride would shift and go over 25mph without sou...

Re: Gyro Canopy not shifting

Do I need special tools to take off variator and replace belt? I really need this thing to shift. Getting rollers, belt and flywheel. Hoping that's all it takes. Do I need to get a new clutch? If I take the cover off. Do I need to replace a gasket?

Re: Gyro Canopy not shifting

I'll put it on a stand. Take off the left rear wheel and it'll be a project for me. I got a tg50 I can use anyways.. I saw a pack of rollers, belt and face plate together. That's first on the list. Maybe the gasket for the left side case and maybe a clutch if needed. Many thanks to motormike for his ...

Re: Cheap Rollers

Which rollers can I use for the Gyro Canopy? Mine won't shift to second gear and might as well change the rollers when I open it up to investigate. Aside from which to use and where to get them, would changing the roller make my Canopy to shift to 2nd?

Gyro Canopy not shifting

I have a Gyro Canopy that doesn't seem to shift. Lots of low end torque and maxing out at 25mph. Hard to ask a fellow owner since the Canopy wasn't sold here in the USA. Shouldn't it shift at a certain point? If I need to replace anything what would it be? Clutch?roller weights? Need help coz I'm or...

Aftermarket rear shocks. (for Gyro S)

Has anyone used any aftermarket rear shocks for the TG50? I see rear oil scooter shocks on eBay. Was wondering if anyone tried it changing the stock ones

Re: 1987 Elite SE50 mods to get an extra 10mph

45 on the speedo. Trying to keep things subtle. Not into modding to the max. I got a Helix and I use that if I wan to go farther. Speedo might be off, hoping not too much. RPM? Mine is stock.I got no Tach to compare rpm. I use this se50 to do errands and still gives me at least 70 miles on the tank

Re: 1987 Elite SE50 mods to get an extra 10mph

Yes it was hitting 45mph and maybe a couple more if I tried hard. I opened up the variator and the Variator has been upgraded to a keli. It had 9gr rollers and a couple with flat spots. I also noticed the belt was a polini in great condition. New gaskets too on the cover . I got this Elite about 6 w...

1987 Elite SE50 mods to get an extra 10mph

I have the 87 SE50. Tops out stock at 45mph . I have the Keli vari but not yet installed. I wanted maybe another 8-10 mph increase in top speed. I'm shooting for 55mph and not intending any faster than that with those little wheels. Would the Keli Vari ,upjet and an extra hole on the airbox give me ...
