Re: Yet another Spree Muffler cleaning question . . .
Thanks for the update . . . ER's have cute nurses usually. Okay, back to the topic at hand . . . anyone out there that has chemically dipped and rinsed their muffler . . . how much did you have to invest in drain cleaner? The reason being, before I cut my muffler, I priced small bottles of drain cle...

1986 Spree Off-road Knobbies . . . need a source
I ride my Spree primarily off-road and I'm shopping for a new set of knobbies. The tube-type Cheng-Shin 2.50x10 knobbies presently installed just don't seem to center themselves very well on the rim so the ride is less than smooth on pavement. Maybe a different brand would help?
Any ideas?

Re: Yet another Spree Muffler cleaning question . . .
Thanks again . . . I read a brand new, clean, stock muffler and pipe comes in around 3 lbs and since mine weighs in at 4 lbs 8 ounces I'm long overdue (5000 miles) for a good cleaning. I figure if I can't cut a proper access panel maybe I can just install a brand new longer Briggs style muffler insi...

Good deal!
Thanks mouse . . . any other views?
It almost looks like a small Briggs style muffler is attached on the main input pipe?

Yet another Spree Muffler cleaning question . . .
Read all the muffler cleaning posts and ideas but I'd like to go a different route. I'd like to cut an access panel opening on the back-side of the muffler and then re-attach the panel after cleanings. Before I do any cutting (want to keep the stock configuration and the stock 70dB noise level) I'd ...

Re: Honda Spree Hitch Hauler
Needed a custom cover for when I tote the Spree so decided to stitch one up. Wonder if there is any market for them, now that I have a pattern?

Re: Honda Spree Hitch Hauler
Real nice rack there, looks secure. :thumbwink: Plenty of questions: 1) I can see the receiver part, but how do the outriggers tie into your Jeep? Looks clean! I tapped holes in the Curt hitch to mount the stabilizer bars. http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=477&pictureid=2813 ...

Final shots of the hauler ready for the trip to the beach! Decided to keep it simple. Oh, the things you can do with 1/2" EMT and Velcro. http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=477&pictureid=2962 http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=477&pictureid=2963 http:...

Re: Honda Spree Hitch Hauler
This is what I came up with. Fabricated it from some scraps. Tested on a mountain bike trip and as soon as I adjust it for the Spree I'll post pics. So far so good. Thanks guys for the suggestions and ideas.

Honda Spree Hitch Hauler
I have seen most of the commercial hitch carriers for motorcycles and wheelchairs but they are all universal application, too large and therefore contain many parts for trying to cover all applications. Has anyone fabricated a receiver hitch carrier specific for a Spree? Did a forum search but nothi...

Re: testing oil pump
Connect the oil line briefly from your reservoir straight to the manifold fitting (bypassing the pump) and fire it up. You should have a very small amount of oil dripping out of the pump line, you disconnected from the manifold to do this, as the bike runs. I'm guessing your pump is good. You may h...

Re: Problems uploading pics
I convert and upload all my pics right from my HD and resize them using Irfanview (freeware). Sounds like you have a conversion issue and yes jpeg is the flavor of choice.
