Re: Was at a motorcycle salvage yard yesterday.

I was at Sutters about 2 weeks ago. Tons of Af05 s. But not one af16. They give total free reign of the yard though

Re: boggong spree

First I would check the fuel flow available to the carb (there has to be vacume applied to the other line of the petcock for fuel to flow). Second I would check the exhaust for plugging or decarbon it. A compression test takes a few minutes and will give a good idea of the condition of the internals...

Honda boneyard ab07

Took a pic of this today while trudging through the scooter section of the closest bike boneyard. Looks like whats left of an aero, had an ab07 engine stamp. (Weird trans/kickstart but 4 bolt intake.

Those gears will not fit the se50/af05 engine either.

Currently the bike is in a box, torn down to the smallest of components.

The 87 elite speedo will fit a spree?
How fast do the 9:1 gears get you?

The lollipop green/shasta white spree is a special edition and of higher value. I am envious.

Re: I need a BBK for an 87 SE50

I've got the 63cc bbk on my se50 powered spree. No problems yet. Stock exhaust will work as will the carb with being up jetted. I used a letter drill to drill out the stock jet. It came out to about a number 95.

Re: se 50/af05 spree needs further mods

Ordered the dio gears :2thumbs: I have a press and a good local machine shop that will do the turning for cheap. The plan is to have plenty of shaft milled so I can adjust gear location as needed. Hopefully I can get the old axleshaft machined to accept the press fit dio gear. Went with the 9.1-1 be...

Re: se 50/af05 spree needs further mods

Haven't been able to find a dio. The se50 donor bike was purchased for a case of beer so I went with it. I've just finished studying the entire 8 pages of se50 dio gear swap and think I'm gonna go for it. The only one thing I never got exactly is what is the difference with the final drive axleshaft?

Re: se 50/af05 spree needs further mods

Yes, its the variated af05 from an 87 elite. I used the weights supplied with the oko high speed vair and I never weighed them. The gears I counted out to the 11-1 :(. Ive asked before about aftermarket gear but really do not care to go that way. I'm afraid the ratio would be too steep. So it seems ...

se 50/af05 spree needs further mods

Ok I'm still working on my 86 spree with the se 50/af05 engine and need to take er' further. Currently using a 63cc bbk, variator, and plug supplied from vt cycles (best service out there) and a big foam air filter. Ive been experimenting with different belt lengths and widths. The 5/8 belt was a ma...
