Re: Trimming the fleet

I sure love the offer of that sweet Express. It warms my heart. Unfortunately I can't make it to Florida. But I do have friends who do head down there...

Re: 86 Spree - rough off the line

Could be what I call the perfect storm... Multiple issues all at once. Pull the clutch apart and take the glaze off of the shoes with rough sandpaper, doesn't take much. And then rough up the clutch bell best you can. That will make a world of difference. I have a new trick for helping to clean carb...

Re: Belt for 1985 Honda Aero 80

If my aero 80 hadn't disappeared I would probably have tuned pipes for them by now. I was looking into a manufacturer that would have built the pipes that fit.

Re: Belt for 1985 Honda Aero 80

It's been so long since I was able to do any aero 80 research since mine went away I can't remember the belt sizes I had come up with. If you search deep enough you should be able to dig up my old posts about that. I'm thinking it was BX24 or 25 or 26. The next thing to improve that thing is to swap...

Re: Patthesounguy is back. whats new?

Thanks Meatball, I'm not completely scooterless I have one left my 84 elite 125. Not 2 stroke but still Honda and 80s. I need to scrape up some extra cash to get it all road legal this summer. Been quite a while since I have been out on two wheels

Re: Retrofit X1 49cc Expansion chamber to stock exhaust

It was quite heavy so I cut the stock muffler mounting tab and put a slit in it so slide a clamp through it. I tightened it to support the weight, then tightened the 2 exaust nuts, then torqued down the clamp for no wigglez. I'm a 210 pound rider and it zips to speed very quickly, if I put my feet ...

Re: Retrofit X1 49cc Expansion chamber to stock exhaust

Also you managed to get the header the correct length for your needs by the sound of it. Header length is critical to the rpm range you want to get the pipe to work in. If the pipe and header don't give it might hit way too high and rpm making it gutless in the bottom and mid range

Re: Retrofit X1 49cc Expansion chamber to stock exhaust

You got seriously lucky with that pipe dude. That one was a good choice to mount on there because of it's stamped design and no header pipe into it. The regular old pocket bike pipes have the header with two inches inside the chamber that wreck the pulses completely unless you repair it. Sounds heal...

Re: Guess who's back?

I almost had another spree last month. Would have been $60. Didn't have time to go after it. But I know I will find another spree that is meant to be my friend... I will be doing my best to help guide the new folks get sprees up and running

Guess who's back?

So after a long hiatus I am back to dive into the spree world again. Been a rough year with out my sprees and aero but I think I'm ready to be back. Thank Motor Mike for tracking me down on the interscreen for my return :geekdance: looking forward to getting back to spree and small Honda fun.

Help my landlord sold my scoots!

Sorry I have been MIA for so long I have been having a rough go. It just got worse. I just found out my last landlord sold my scoots before I could get them. Not sure if it was legal for him to do so yet. My mint red 85 Aero 80 is gone and my 84 Canada blue spree dio is also gone. There were no keys...
