Those secondaries in the picture are from your dd50 block right? The stock dd 50 gear ratio comes out lower, with the same secondaries. For example, 7.4:1 on a dd50 block, put the same exact secondary gears into a af16 block, it comes out to 9.2:1 Thats why i said use stock 10:1 af16 secondaries on ...

You can run the 7.4's but you'll need some rev.
And like what baka said, why noticable loose low end for jus a 1mph top?
8.4:1 or 8:1 is perfect for dd50's
Stock af16 gears in the dd50 block will turn out to be 8.1:1
