Re: 100 trouble free WOT miles..

I ride my spree about 25 to 30 miles each way when I ride it to work. I do that about twice a week never had any problems.

Low oil light problems

Yesterday I drained my oil tank on my spree and turned the key to on and my oil light didn't come on. Is their something that commonly goes out on them that I should check first?

Re: protection

I'm not yet 21 so the option of carrying a pistol in mo isn't there for me. When I first got my spree I had a 4wheeler gun rack mounted on the back with my ak and a 75 round drum mag on it. Never had any problem with drunk people or idiots. Lol.

Spree disc brakes

Has anyone tried a disc brake conversion on a spree? I was thinking about trying one and was wondering if anyone else has done it and if so how?

Re: Which is faster/better?

I'm not calling you a liar but I don't think they made a 88 spree. I think they stopped in 87. If you want to be sure check behind the front fender their is an ID plate that should have the year really big on it. And I've read that the spree was one of the slower scooters that Honda produced during ...

Re: High mileage.

My 86 has 6600 all original miles and still runs good. I've head on here of people putting 9000 or more on them if you maintain them well.

my girlfriend and I were sitting on our couch and I was telling her about my scoot. After a short silet pause she says "if a Harley davidson is called a hog is your scooter called a piglet?" now my scooter has a new name.

Headlight issues

Today put a new battery in my 86 spree so I could ride it at night without having to keep the rpm up the keep the lights on. The battery works great my blinkers work fine and I have aux lights under the frame and they stay on fine but the head light still dims when I stop. Is this supposed to happen...
