the bike idles fine. its when i go WOT it feels the same as 3/4 and doesnt go any faster. and when my friend looked at the needle/slide he said it wasnt all the way out at WOT. the needle also had a lil washer that goes under the clip. on the 30 oko it never had but the brand new 28 i put in came wi...

turns out that the weights/vari was stock. and the weights were flat. she no longer bogs. can anybody explain why the needle wouldnt go all the way up when i go WOT/ maybe i instaled the slide/needle the wrong way?

maddog how could you get that high of a top speed without gears? GTR 50 dont have gear kit. Right now im running 150 main jet and 50 slow jet. at 1/4 throttle i can bury the needle just takes a long time. but when i go over 1/4 she bogs and slows done sometimes. this also happens when i go up a slig...

did you also order sef ramp plate a keli variator? maybe later down the line a keli medium clutch. has a nice bite too it and is good for 72. like baka said PG will breaths better, but there is a low-mid range slump. good for high way use but i woudn't run that pipe just my 2 cents. good luck. and n...

clean bike. btw do you have pics of the 89s you built? sounds like it will be good around town and sleeper because of the v8 pipe and gears.

oh and what are some grippy tires? only ones my friends ran were S1 90/90 or hoop 80/90? any others? i ride to school everyday so has to be good in the rain. haha the stock duros dont feel safe, lil slip n slide when you gas from stop or turning on/off the road.

what you are talking about is the venturi effect right? btw i got the bike started new plug and this weekend ill be upping the jets. thanks for the info guys. the shop owner rode my bike and loved the power that the Scorp. exhaust gave over the * PG long. ill never buy on of those.

i could be wrong but since i am getting less air into my motor compared to an elite since my intake port is smaller than the stock elite one, i wouldnt need as big a jet. it would make it too rich dumping more gas into the motor that cant take in alot of air. but im new to this

it that with a dremel? thats some nice work too bad nobody i know onmaui does good block work, id think about opening up the stock ones on my bike. their smaller than the stock elite block one. cant wait to see this motor done on the drag frame. nice work
