Re: So check this out

I'll talk to you off line about this when I get some more information Kerry. I think I may need to call a different supervisor tomorrow just to make sure what they are telling me is the truth. Sad thing is, how their rules are written, even if the guy who signed for it said he received it "dama...

Re: So check this out

Here's where I'm hitting a block...... In lieu of the valuation indicated in the NMFC, valuation, rates and charges on USED or RECONDITIONED articles will be as follows: 1. When Consignor or Consignee declares no value or declares an actual or released value of 50 cents or less per pound per package...

Re: So check this out

Well, I have to wait until tomorrow, because I don't have the receipt here at home, but after getting off the phone with the National Motor Freight Classification people, if the moped was 8 lbs per cubic foot or under, then the class of my shipment was 150. If it were over 8 lbs then class 100. From...

Re: So check this out

I'm still working this. The claims rep talked to his manager and discussed a refund. Looks as though that FedEx LTL is capping a refund to .50 cents per lb (not including the pallet). Lets see, 100# moped, at .50 cents per lb, yep, looks as though the refund is going to be about $50. Please feel fre...

Re: So check this out

Just to keep Kerry and everyone posted, I did get the claim rep on the phone today. He denied the claim based on the fact that there were no internal notes in their system describing any damage along the way, and the signature on the receipt says that it was received in good order. The pictures that...

Re: So check this out

Well, I got the run around today. I was only able to call twice, first time I left a message, and the second time I was told that she (my claim rep) was in a meeting, and now their closed. I think its about time I get another claim rep. Whats everyone think??

Re: -27 degree windchill this morning......

I don't know how the ped would do in the snow. 2" wide tires........ice.......snow.......slush........other impatient drivers......May be winter riding is more dangerous than I orginally thought.

-27 degree windchill this morning......

Ok, so I'm throwing around this idea of vowing to ride the moped 24/7 next year. For one year, I will ride nothing but the moped to work and back. If I go to the grocery store or church, I can take the wifes minivan or my 64 chevy truck, but for my daily, I think its going to be the moped. Anywhoo, ...

Re: Only runs "good" with the choke on

Looks as though I didn't take it apart enough, the mech said there was a small piece of dirt clogging the jet. Runs like a top now! Whoo hoo!

Re: Only runs "good" with the choke on

Ok, since I'm an apparent newb, I have an appt with a local bike shop to look at it tonight. Hopefully its something easy that I'm overlooking, and it won't cost much. Here's my setup: AF18E with 72cc malossi alum bore 28mm oko carb (don't know jets) PG Long Carbon fiber reeds CT Mani Uni air filter...

Re: Only runs "good" with the choke on

That "nipple on the bowl in the 4th picture.....what is that supposed to be connected to? The hose that was on it doesn't go anywhere., I thought may be it was the bowl "vent." Could this be the "leak" that is causing all my problems?

Re: Only runs "good" with the choke on

Ok, I have taken the jets out and cleaned them out. I think I put it back together correctly. I am one clip up from center on the needle, and 1 3/4 turns out on the a/f screw. Still won't run without choke on, what direction do I go from here. Takes off like a bandit with choke on.
