Re: i d this scooter???

89 elite e sb50p. I say it has the correct engine. See the "round" in the kickstart cover over the drive face, and it has an elite e airbox.

Re: I might seriously have a honda addiction problem

At least we know we have problems!! And yes, my blood boils when I come across painted plastics (even though they bought the machine and it's theirs to do as they wish, it should be illegal) I had to pay a little more than $90 for the special. There was an unintentional middle man involved. I have 4...

Re: Pulling a gear?

One of these pullers. I had to grind down the carriage bolt heads on one side. For my next one I am fabricating a 4 bolt steel plate puller adapter. With only the two bolts twisting sideways was a major problem I cut a 2x4 to fit between the ground and puller and stood on it. I used a piece of plywo...

Re: I might seriously have a honda addiction problem

Well, here I am again... $45 and kind of on my way home. Plastics were in excellent condition until someone painted them. :bs:
Do I need a moderator to change my user name? Is it even a possibility? I don't want to start a new account l, but I do need a name with HONDA in there.

I might seriously have a honda addiction problem

Yeah you guessed it...I picked up another one after work today. 86 spree special edition. Engine is full of motor oil. 10w -30 :bowrofl: turned it over by hand and oil gushed out of the carb. I just can't pass up a deal. One of these days I'll put the plastics on everything and get some better pictu...

Re: I picked up Honda #18 last week 1980 XL250S

Thanks guys! I'm still stoked about it. I've wanted an enduro since I was a kid delivering newspapers on a spree! I got the insurance and tags the day after I picked it up, then during my preliminary check I found the bad filter and a missing air box cover bolt and battery cover bolt. I found NOS bo...

Re: Put gas into the oil resevoir by mistake 1984 Spree

Remove side plastic Follow hose from oil tank to the oil pump Remove hose from the oil pump (at the engine) Drain the oil tank Let the oil tank air out. If it was not ran with gas in the oil tank reassemble and add 2 stroke injection oil If it WAS ran remove the oil pump drain and bleed it completely

With 18 honda bikes I think I need to change my user name...
I traded an allis lawn tractor for this basement kept beauty. It was stored in a basement for 25 years. 1200 miles. Runs better than when it left the showroom. I put plates and insurance on it, just waiting for an air filter. I WANNA RIDE!!

Re: Another oil pump ratio post. SE50, SA50, SA50P

The SR pump definitely pumps more oil. As wheelman said, a member did an experiment with a catch container with each pump. He came up with ratios if I remember right.

Re: overheating with new windshield

I just now read your signature. Is this your 86 spreedio you are installing the windshield on? If so, disregard my warning label post. I'd think an unrestricted af16 could handle it especially on a light spree. Do you know what temperature the engine is getting up to?

Sidestand installed. Looks 43% meaner just sitting there. I'll blast it and powder it black later.
