Re: how do i know brand of piston??

if you take the rings off and they are slightly different with the bottom one having a wavy one underneath it that is stock. the ex is for the exhaust side. also the honda dealer suggests to replace the piston and rings. I've used stock and aftermarket and had success with both.

Re: Bogging down after riding 10 minutes

It happened to me and I did all the things that you did. Finally took the jug off and the exhaust port had only the size of a pencil to let exhaust out. Cleaned that out and it ran normal. Low quality 2 cycle will cause this problem over time. Maybe that will help you. You can check it by taking off...

Re: spree losing speed

my son actually got pulled over by local police. said he had him at 41 in a 25. didn't get a speeding ticket, but did get a ticket for not changing his address. oh and diagnosed the bogging, it was the bystarter wire melting on the muffler. Ha!

Re: boggong spree

I can describe it, the port is oval around an inch wide, 3/8 inch high, the hole was reduced to the size of a pencil. had to take off the jug and clean it out. put it back together and it runs good around 30 mph.

Re: spree losing speed

It is stock, has around 6000 miles, has had new rings a while ago. It seems to hit a power band after 30 and climbs to 40. It just started doing the light dimming thing tonight and wouldn't get passed 25mph. seems like a short or something.
