Im having the same problem with my Elite. My friend and I take out our bikes, I get the 88 Elite 50 LX, and he gets my Spree. And his acceleration is way better. But I end up blowing him out of the water in the end. So a variator would do the trick? Im new to modding bikes so I have no idea what all...

I didnt run my Elite for 2 years as a buddy of mine had wrecked it and it needed the steering fix. When I started it back up, it POURED white smoke. So I would also say that its normal.

Can someone please explain to me what de-restricting does? And how would I go about doing it. I have an 88 Elite and I was wondering if the 88 is restricted too? Thanks everyone!
