It was on there when I bought the scoot, I just never took it off.

Took my son for a short ride today. He absolutely loves scooters. He is almost two and calls everything with 2 wheels a "Scooty".

Sounds like a dead battery. Drive the scooter for about 20 minutes or so, and then turn it off and try to restart. That should be long enough to allow the alternator to charge. If it starts or at least tries to turn over then you know it is just a battery.

***Update***

I couldn't sleep so I took the carb back off and re cleaned it. Running strong once again. I did notice the air box was a little loose around the carb. Could this have been the culprit?
