Here is a picture of the actual cable from my Dio. It was a JDM 1989 Dio SP.
Maybe bear can confirm it will work for the AF16. Im pretty sure it should be the same as the engines are identical.

Re: jetting an af-18 82cc, what size to start with.
measure the belt and ask the experts if you need a new one. i think it was on the worn side and a new one should give you the extra mph.
im glad you are having fun with it. good luck

Re: are my springs rite
I got the green Pollini ones sold as 2k by the shops. Once they "break in" i feel like i should have gotten something a little bit stiffer but i still like them.
I say, stay with those black ones.. you will not notice much difference if you get the green.

Re: Restricted CDI swap
Thanks for the input...
stupid me, i was not thinking to check where the cables go for the SYM and was going to check the Elite manual instead. May be the cables go to different pins.
Thank you very much.

Re: Another plugchop
I believe a ZX 18mm belt would not come down to even touch the boss if i install the drive face, there is just not enough space.
I will try with the stock 15.5mm then.
Which one do you guys recommend? are there different brands or is it just the Bando belt...what is the part number?
Thanks a lot.

Re: Another plugchop
Been away working and no time for the scooter. I talked to Steve some time ago. He said my shaft is shorter because i have an earlier AF18 model. This is how the boss stands in there, there are no shims or anything http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/9524/bossy.jpg Measurements: boss: 35mm old worn b...

Next time you can put it in the bonfire to burn the carbon instead of spending in a new muffler.

I asked about the speed ratings on these forums some time ago and one of the guys said: Don't know. I took the stock oem tire that comes on the 94-01 elite s well over 80mph on the shop...

24oko 48-122 now. Did not have the time to check for the jetting yet. I think 32:1 is too much. Way too much smoke . Should be good for a racing setup but i am using the scooter for street riding. Plus 50:1 is what the guys at VT recommended... Remember that Castor oil is very high performance. I wo...
