Hi,
Hadn’t thought about a potential gas cap vent issue, but I’ll put that on the list to check as well. Thanks for mentioning your compression tester too. Mine was from Amazon, but pretty sure it’s the same as Harbor Freight. I’ll see if I can find a better one to test as well.

Re: Help with '87 Spree :-(
Thanks Wheelman,
I still think that there has to be a leak somewhere. I'm going to try and find/make a pressure tester to be sure that it's not leaking. If I'm not finding any leaks, I'll take your advice and concentrate on the bore next.
thanks again,
Josh

Re: Help with '87 Spree :-(
Hi,
Yes, test was done with WOT (electric and kick). Compression was slightly lower (~70) before piston/rings, but not a huge difference.

Help with '87 Spree :-(
Hi all, Looking for some help/suggestions to try and get my Spree running again. I have an '87 with 700 miles. I'm the second owner, but have owned it for ~15 years. It's only ever needed a carb clean once a year to stay running great. It recently had become harder to start (when cold). It was takin...

A little help?.WOT stumble
tldr: Spree starts to stall when throttle wide open. Hi all, I have an '87 Spree (stock) that I've owned for several years and is in great shape (600 miles). It had been sitting for a few months in my garage and now seems to want to stall when throttle wide open. Over the past couple of weeks I've c...

Re: Float bowl gasket
Thanks for the reply (and URL). $26 shipped is a little painful, but beggars can't be choosers.
Thanks again

I'm looking for a new float bowl gasket for my '87 Spree. Do you know where I could find one?
Thanks,
Josh

Just installed Tapatalk
I got it now. I had version 1.9 and the search wasn't working. I'm now on 1.10 and found it.

I've just installed Tapatalk on my iPhone, but can't seem to find this forum when I search. How do you find this forum from within Tapatalk?
Thanks,

Help identifying clicking noise
Hi all, My Spree has made a constant clicking noise down by the cooling fan since I've owned it (year or so). The Spree is in the basement for the winter and I thought I'd ask here before I start taking it apart to hunt it down. Here's a link to the clicking noise that I recorded. http://dl.dropbox....

Installing new tires on Spree?
Just wondering if someone can point me in the right direction. I've just picked up an '87 Spree that needs new tires. I've ordered new tires (stock size) and am wondering how difficult it is to remove the old and install the new myself? I've just called my local Honda shop and they'd like $75 for th...
