Re: 1989 Elite E vs. 2001 Elite SR

Make the best out of both worlds, Put an SA50 engine in that 89 E frame, it's lighter than the Elite SR. Trust me you'll like it. If you need the mount to for it, Go to the Hawaii Forums, there's a lot of guys there that modified mounts specifically for that application.

^^^ Define "running worse" (sputtering, unstable idle, bogging ...)? Be more specific on the running condition so Fellow Members could help troubleshoot the problem?

Thank you, you are giving me HOPE. More to come as soon as I go by the mechanic today.
If the seizure ain't that bad, can just replace piston rings and rehone bore, shouldn't cost that much. GL!

Re: Clutch gimmick

Make your own. I have seen alot of sa50 builds with the rear clutch cover missing. I am not sure it is for heat issuses, or just to show off the cool clutch bell housings. Whatever the reason is, I like the way it looks, but do not like the fact that it looks like somthing is missing. So I took my ...

Re: How is this possible?

Your muffler aint all plugged up is it? How did you check for spark? with a screw driver inserted into plug wire? (crude method, but does work) or did you pull plug and check it that way? Check your plug gap..could be wrong.. ya gotta think, if that plug aint exactly gapped right, or even has crack...

Re: How to reach a true 65-70MPH?

I think you would get there with longer gears that 8.44's. Get some of Daywot's 6.9 primaries and try them out. They install without having to press a gear on or off the main shaft. I think the 6.9s would get you to the top speed you want but you are going to lose some torque. Agreed, you need at l...

I like the guys who say I can rather than those who want me to quit. OK, after the other restrictor this weekend. If you insist ... Re: 1999 Elite SA50P losing speed. . .help

Maybe a good time to bring it to a qualified repair shop. Have them do the initial derestriction / repair and in the mean time educate yourself by asking what they're doing and the operation of your scooter. You need to at least know a little how your scooter operates /functions before you can start...

Re: ALEXWAREHOUSE.COM REVIEWS????????????

Greetings: It's a huge warehouse. I'll bet a few dealers on the Forum get their stuff there. Some items have a minimum order of 100 units. He probably started marketing online to the small shoppers and dings them on shipping. Yup you're right, there are some units where you could just order...
