Idle Set Screw On Carb 86 Spree

The issue I am having is that the idle set screw apparently does not seat tight as when the spree is rode the vibrations turn this screw. If I remember correctly there is supposed to be a rubber washer type around this screw. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Re: Fast Fusion claims to be polyethylene primer

Anybody have the verdict yet on hot to paint the blasted polyethylene? There is a theory out there that a thin layer of acrylic paint will stick to polyethylene, but just a thin layer, more than that will peel right off. Has anyone tested the theory? I believe in my heart and soul that this could wo...

Re: after years in storage...

Agreed. Play it safe and get the OEM filter. I just picked up a few online for about 4 bucks a piece. Well worth it for the piece of mind.

Re: Spree will not start after sitting at first

Well finally! Looks like the air filter element was bone dry. Cleaned and oiled it. Also, the tube on the carb bowl drain was actually clogged up. Well, needless to say it runs just fine now! Yea!!! :coolcruise:

Re: Spree will not start after sitting at first

Tried the technique of cleaning the float needle seat and making sure it was seated appropriately. Still no luck. Starting to pull my hair out. Anyone have any ideas on what this could possibly be other than what was already tried? Thanks!
