Re: Aero 80 Buying Advice ASAP

I am too. I don't think this is the kind of guy that would appreciate that humor... I left this out originally but, he is in the town over from me and when I pulled up he was loitering in his detached garage with a friend, I walked over and no question they were smoking a joint. There is a old gmc j...

Re: Aero 80 Buying Advice ASAP

Talked to the guy, he says the person he got it from who is his wife's cousin or something is going to the DMV to get the paper and should have it by tomorrow. Now have to wait again for him to get off work at 3pm to call tomorrow. Anyone else have feedback on pricing or a good negotiating tactic. L...

Re: Aero 80 Buying Advice ASAP

Called the DMV, they said basically the person who it is currently/last registered to can come down to the DMV pay $3 and get a transferable registration printed out. Even if I buy it and fill out these other forms I will not be able to register it myself unless this step is made. Going to call the ...

Re: Aero 80 Buying Advice ASAP

Yes, I would feel better with 300, because its going to cost me another 100 for the parts once I get it. It was too late to call the DMV yesterday, I will call this morning. Just want to check on the registration thing, what forms I would need to take ownership, and if the guy calls me back see if t...

Re: Aero 80 Buying Advice ASAP

Thanks polarice, I will keep that in mine, at least that ticks one item off my parts list.

Anyone else with feedback on pricing? How low can I go?

Re: Aero 80 Buying Advice ASAP

Yeah, I got my spree for $75, but then had to clean it up and replace some parts to get it 100%.

Just my feeling of the whole thing for the Aero 80 is that 375 seems okay, but I dont feel like its a deal especially when I think about the parts I need to replace just to pass inspection.

Re: Aero 80 Buying Advice ASAP

Thanks, if I go ahead with the buy, I will need a few. I forgot to mention an important piece of info in my initial post, when I left were were at $375 including him dropping it off at my house. I like to think of my self as thrifty too. I was going to agree to the price then I started to think abou...

Aero 80 Buying Advice ASAP

So the Spree project is done and on the road and my girlfriend is happy riding it. I have been watching for an Aero 80 for myself to come up locally to replace my tomos targa. Yesterday one popped up, the asking price is $600. Talked to the guy on the phone he said it was an 85 and I am thinking gre...

Re: Saratoga Spree~!

Good to know. I will try next time with a little throttle again and see if it fires right up.
With my Tomos moped it starts on on kick when its warm, no throttle, easier than when its cold.

Re: Saratoga Spree~!

So I moved the scooter over to our apartment yesterday. I made a nice parking space for it right next to my moped. I picked up this master lock python cable lock. Dont get me wrong, a nice set of cable cutters will make quick work of it, but it should keep any a-hole passing by from trying to walk a...

Re: Saratoga Spree~!

Last week I added a little red accent paint to the mirror, kick start, and stand. Check it out... I dont think there is much else to do but wait for the warm weather, but looking at the picture I realized I have to polish up the floor board some, its a bit chalky and it stands out. I have it registe...

Re: Bradthreee's Feedback Thread

Just received my THIRD order from Brad. This time he was reading my thread about an issue I was having with the front brakes. He seconded my diagnoses and PMed me to let me know he had the part I need to fix to the issue. I sent payment right away, he shipped the next day. USPS took a little longer ...

Re: Saratoga Spree~!

Thanks, I got the idea for the LEDs from another member, Jong, who put the LED strip on his spree. I just used the two sided car trim tape stuff to hold them on, and cover the mounting holes. I will be painting my stand and kick starter this weekend! Nice idea on the wheels, a project for next winte...
