Re: Stumped

Gee Tom, I'm not up to speed on 85 Spree, but the air screw setting
is likely to be 1 1/2 turns out from full close. The service manual usually has that info.
You can download a pdf of the manual here by going to the "Board Index" and then click on
the category "Honda Service and Owners Manuals"

Re: Bogs on throttle opening and now won't even start

I would suspect deteriorated hoses...replace. Clean gas tank and screen...if it has one. Gonna have to clean the carb and check all jets for flow. I bet the bystarter never closed the enrichment circuit and caused the rich condition to make it run poorly until you got it back home. Test bystarter..i...

Re: Exhaust leak

I have a v8, 72cc malossi cast iron, 28oko.. About last week I noticed my exhaust started to leak on to my block. On my way home from work it leaked very bad, carb started to flood/ bog once I rev my bike. I replaced spark plug and my exhaust gasket, cleaned carb.. did a test run and it still leaks...

Thanks bud. What size of carburetor would go on there with a stock motor.
I don't know. Easy for you to measure if you have an OEM carb.
Remove carb and find the number that is stamped on it, probably on the flange.

Re: 81 Honda express2 na50 automatic 2 speed

In answer to your question, Yes you can. Going to a 24mm carb is far too much, imho. If the cylinder is the stock 49cc, and you have no fancy hi-perf. pipe on it, you will create tuning nightmares trying to get it to run right....imho. I had great performance from a Mikuni TM24 flat-slide when mount...

Re: looking for a starter spindal

What has happened, most likely, is the cylinder has become filled with 2-stroke oil that has leaked past the O-ring in the oil pump. This will cause the cylinder to become Hydro-locked. If the engine was running okay when you parked it last fall, and now it won't turn over with either the starter mo...

Re: Honda Dio - issues/questions

Here's an opinion from a moderator. There is no reason to add a big bore kit to your bike trying to make it for a reliable transport. If you don't know WHY it is running badly, have a shop diagnose the problem and fix what's broke. Very simple issues can cause the symptoms you describe, and can be ...

Can't keep the OEM knob, but a manual petcock can be fitted.
The example I've seen has the hole opened up a little to accommodate access.
It looks like "a-$-$"
