Hello. No movement with key on. the power is only supplied with engine running. Hook the by-starter leads to a 12 volt battery, measure the length before hookup and then about 5min. later check again.

Hello; again, some people use and impact wrench for removal but shouldn't be used for installing due to possibility of hurting the crank. A strap wrench to hold it can be used as well, for removal and installation.

Hello I suppose you could install a T in the vacuum line, then hookup you vac. gauge to the tee and crank the engine.

Hello. My bbk also came with a bent head gasket. put it on and have had no problems with it. just be sure to follow the torque specs.

Ouch that really hurts. you might be able to get a local elect. motor shop to rewind it but would probably be cheaper to get a used one off of ebay or from the forums for sale section. good luck
