Hello: there is a slot that runs the full length of the slide, inside of the carb is a small pin that protrudes out. the slot fits over that pin. allows the slide to set all the to the bottom of the hole.

I used the 48" was not to much left over the 24" would be to short for the elite. at least where I mounted it. just to the left of the glove box, so I could see it easily

you can get an extension for the trailtec from www.treatland.tv there cheap and made for the trailtec gauge so extra wire shouldn't change readings, at least not by much. Have one on mine with ext. works great.

the carb bolts to the intake the intake bolts to the block, between the intake and block is where the reeds reside. Hello Wd-40 is flammable you know. I've used it to prime lawnmowers to get them to start. It's possible with that sprayed on the filter it's way to rich to (flooded ) to keep running.

Have you checked your flywheel key. even a partial shear will throw the timing off.

Hello.. Just removed some bumper stickers and license tags from one of mine. used a heat gun on low heat (750deg) didn't heat it for long, just enough to soften the glue, peeled off nicely

OOPS should have stated that I am only assume (ass-u-me) that the Honda by-starter also uses the thermal? gels for moving the needles and not a heat sensitive spring. sorry
