Re: Honda Aero nb50 to nh125 Swap Project
This build turned out very well, congrats! I recently acquired another Aero 50 with low compressing and had a similar swap idea, as I have a spare Aero 125 chassis and motor sitting in storage, I need something to keep up better with my partner's Aero 125 :thumbwink: . How do you like the performanc...

Re: Z50 Monkey
Greetings!
I love these little old Honda's. I have the bigger boned brother to your guy sitting in my "shop" for a refresh and engine swap. Check out my CA100T!
Good luck with the build!
Cheers,

I used all the parts stated in my previous post and it all bolted up like original.

Re: Metro wheels on an '87 NB50 Aero 50
Greetings! I have completed this swap with total success on my 86 Aero and it made a night and day difference. The change in tire profile and tubeless selection made hard cornering not just a possibility but confidence inspiring as well. The added front braking power is nothing short of amazing comp...

Re: 85 aero nb50 bbk or stock replacement?
Greetings Kevinstonge! With your goals (42-45mph) i think you would be more than happy starting out with the bbk and some transmission work then moving on to the intake and exhaust. I am on a similar path and have already reached the 45ish+ range with the following setup. Polini BBK Ruckus variator ...

Re: Any need for larger caburetor?
My thoughts exactly bear. I'm more interested in exploring the potential of the original powerplant rather than transplant something else. This scooter is an around town toy so I'd like to see what I can make it do while contributing to the community. As for the reed cage, reeds, and manifold I will...

Re: Any need for larger caburetor?
Maybe use the Aero 80 reed set up with the Boyesen dual stage reeds, #740. This idea had been bouncing around in my head as well after reading what you had to say HERE . It would seem the optimal combination that will fit the Aero 50 4 bolt manifold models (86-87) would be as follows: 1. Aero NH80 ...

Re: Any need for larger caburetor?
But rather than screw with the block to make the 125 manifold fit, elongate the holes in the manifold. That is precisely the thought I had but your wording is much better. :thumbwink: It would be a lot easier than modifying a 125 manifold to just get a CT manifold and use an OKO carb. This would be...

Re: Any need for larger caburetor?
It looks very similar (correct me if I'm wrong) to the PB carb that came on the 125. I'm only going of pictures I've seen not actual hands on. Maybe that carb with an nh125 manifold could be coaxed to work if the holes for the block are elongated. This is all of interest to me for my own 86 aero. So...
