got my spree runnin after a top end rebuid but its boging very bad every time u give it gas it barley picks up and wants to die.already cleaned the carb 2 times,im wondering is it pumping to much oil or maybe not enough causing it to bog.my banshee would do this if i didnt have the gas mixed right a...

yeah i will do a compression test for sure to be safe.ive heard of several people doing this with good results so im hoping mine will be in the good psi range.if not i might hit you up for one of those 86 87 heads thanks

whats the highest the compression should be?its funny right before i saw ur post i posted a question about this and the performance i might expect from doing this.

i know that the 86 87 sprees are fater stock than the 84 85 because of the different heads they have.35 mph vs 30mph.domed 86 87 vs not domed 84 85.what im wondering is if you use the domed pistonwith the 84 85 head it will raise the compression.will this make my 85 spree perform more like the 86 87...

well the comp was 50psi and the piston had horrible blowby,rings were fried.how could this have happened at 460 miles.im thinking someone put regular oil in it at some point.what do you guys think? also the reason my headlight was staying on even with the key turned off was a bad regulater. thanks f...

hey guys decided on a 41mm kit on ebay for my 85 spree but the piston looks different fron my stock one.the stock is receded and the new one has a hump in it.im worried about clearance issues.it said fits all years but idk.i was told the 86 87 sprees have the hump type piston and the 84 85 dont.

what kind a difference can u see in a 44mm big bore kit vs the stock 41mm.dont know if its worth the extra money.

so i found out my spree i bought wont start. the piston had horrible blowby, rings were shot at 460 miles!anyways gonna go with a 44mm big bore kit .anyone know where a good place to get one.saw one on ebay for 100 looked really nice.also is there any reason to rejet for this? thanks guys

how do you check the ignition timing when your spree wont run.i know when its running you can use a regular timing light but what if it wont run?

1985 spree cant get it started.could a bad bystarter cause it not to start at all or would it just run bad?mine is broke.the little needle valve broke off from the black plastic piece it hooks to.
