Re: 114 stroker build
Fat jetting or cobbling together a shroud to fit around the jug would help with the temps. Maybe a fan scoop also. I built a 50x50 and didnt have any cooling issues once I finally dialed in the tune. I know the fatty air-cooled strokers 120-130cc suffer from heat issues and can only run wot for sho...

Re: RIP maddog
Yes, his demise has been reported previously by a fella who said he acquired one/some of maddog's scooters. Has been a few years now. I suppose that maddog had some validity to his claims of fast bikes and a colorful past. Truth is, maddog was still present on this board when I joined 14 years ago....

Re: Pg long flip cone?
Hey guys I have a question I’m hoping can be answered about the pg long pipe. What is the flip cone mod exactly? Is it just making the baffle holes bigger I’m little confused on it. Thanks for any insight/help this is the only real thread on here I know of, with some pictures that you can still see...

Re: Pg long flip cone?
Cut it open, the internal cone baffle can be flipped to increase flow (and noise) and then weld it back together. Its a poor man’s mod that very slightly increases performance. Hardly worth the effort in my opinion. Have you tried it tho? SSS saw a pretty sizable gain on the dyno with this mod. I p...

Re: '98 Elite SA50 ECO Build
Would like to update yall with latest 2 minor mods, that had some major impact in performance. First up, after 2k+ mi on the Stage2+ setup, the OEM sparkplug cap started giving up the ghost. The OEM ones do suck over time, especially when running upgraded bore with more heat and power. It's a pain w...

Re: 2001 Honda Elite Newbs 1st Scooter
fwiw, your main on stock carb will be heavily affected by whether you mod the stock airbox, or leave it alone. was able to run as low as an 84main with stock airbox and contessa sport cyl. with 2nd slit on airbox opened up, had to go up to an 94main to keep temps in check, 355-360F max most conditio...

Re: '98 Elite SA50 ECO Build
How is that NCY exhaust with the Contessa? I bought one of those pipes for a buddy that wanted a quiet sport build but he sold the scoot for a clapped out CBR before it happened. Thinking of doing a sport build of my own with it. Let me know what you think of it. Thx. Hey Meatball. The NCY is fanta...

Some pictures, as promised! She looks quite a bit different than at the start. Never liked the purple panels much personally and sold those on a spare bike. She's black, red and blue now heh. Don't mind the external throttle cable.. lol maybe alludes to the "Stage 3" setup, which is planne...

Re: '98 Elite SA50 ECO Build
It has been a long time with no update! Apologies for that. The scoot sure has evolved since the beginning. It blew up after about 300mi on the last post Stage2 setup. Or so I thought. Dissassembly showed that the piston rings got stuck (on exhaust side I believe) and blow by was so severe that comp...

Re: Polini Contessa BBK Base Gasket Replacement
buy the one in 2nd link, thats the correct one for contessa or corsa, anyway. 1st one is for big boost taiwan/china kits, dont need it. oem stock gasket wont fit up quite right, but you can trim it up to match contessa base and use in a pinch, if avail. agree with bonesv, check for other leaks. i wo...
