Re: Sym dd w/ hona dio engine i need help please!

Jacob, the Jiangwayne V-8 pipe is good with the corsa kit, my neighbor has the same set up, they will also ship to UK no problem from taiwan. Some of those V-8 pipes are different but the first one you posted back there is the real deal. Good Luck.

Re: 89 Elite R - my first build

Maybe not adjust that much at once, quarter turns and wait five seconds to hear the motor. If idle drops too much, go back one eighth in and listen before adjusting again. Get the air-to-fuel set, then adjust at the idle. If you are more than two turns out on a/f then you lower the pilot jet. Glad y...

Re: Carb Nipple

Cheap - as in less expensive than a brand new carburetor from Honda dealer.
I guess I should have said that instead. Probably somewhere between $30 - $50. Depends on condition.
I like the solutions given so far. No cost to try. :thumbwink:

Re: Carb Nipple

Maybe just try another carb. and be on your way. Plenty of pre owned units around here for cheap. Sometimes this is the best solution.
What kind of scooter is it going on? Stock or mod?

Re: 89 Elite R - my first build

Forgive me, I've been looking at stock carbs threads. Sorry about the weather. There should be a needle in that slide. When you pull that plastic retainer out, there is also a chrome metal slide down in the body of the carb. Stick your finger in there and pull it out. It should have a brass needle i...

Re: 89 Elite R - my first build

Not to adjust the needle clip position. Here is the proceedure as I know it. Unskrew the cap at the throttle cable, and you will be able to pull the slide straight out so as not to bend the needle. The side of the slide has a notch in it which is so you can remove the cable. Holding the cap, push th...

Re: Sym dd w/ hona dio engine i need help please!

Perhaps a set could be found in the pacific islands or a search on forums hawaii. Be careful. Is your cdi rpm limited? You said you were going 65 mph? That doesn't sound limited to me. Just say'in. You might have meant 65 kph? Anyway, there are cdi's that aren't limited, in fact, I have one that I p...

Re: play in rear wheel

Hey Joe, if you run out of solutions you can also check the bearings on the final shaft. The shaft that holds the wheel on and goes into the transmission. Check both the inner, and the outer bearings for play and visually, sometimes they spin in the case if they have overheated. That is my experience...

Are you saying the delivery service beat it up, or the person who shipped it?
Glad you finally got it and hope you get some good out of it. :thumbwink:

Re: Boost port

Nice work, King! I did mine and then polished everything, then I learned that I shouldn't have polished anything. I sanded it all back to a dull surface again with 150 grit.
It's tuff work and my big hands hated it! Good luck with the build.
