Re: How do I connect this Spree oil line? (pic)

Napa Auto has pkg of small hose barb type connectors of various size. Not expensive. You want to find a tight fitting one and use zip-tie on each side but you must bleed all air all the way to pump and all the way to carburetor before you run the motor. Get an extra new spark plug preferably an NGK ...

Re: Another Fuel related question

Stock airbox with a OEM filter. Everything that needs to be plugged is plugged. I'll check the main jet soon. 115 PSI. Thank you. A quick question: is the carburetor oem Honda spree equipment? It sounds like the pilot is clogged or air/fuel mixture screw is out of adjustment. Turn the a/f screw all...

The back pressure on downstroke closes the reeds. Do you have a pod filter? You must have oem air box and oiled filter in place tightly with no, no air leaking around the connections and plug injector nipple. And plug pump output nipple. You can’t have any, any source of air except for the air box i...

Use some heat to expand the gear. Also, get a proper tool before you do real damage.

Re: 1986 honda spree water in engine

Surprised it turns over at all having had water in it. When I have a motor with oil in it, I put gasoline into the crankcase to thin the oil for easy removal. You know water and gas do not mix. Get all the oil out of the muffler also or it will smoke to high heaven if it does start up and heat the e...

Re: Spree runs very rich until airbox is opened

Maybe it is an aftermarket carb? I believe all of those have the oil injection nipple which you thought was a vent 🤷🏻‍♂️ But that being open would cause a lean condition????

Re: Engine stalls on over-run

Welcome! You may need to clean the carburetor. The jets/passages become gummed up and can restrict the fuel flow-that along with an open or degraded air filter/air box leaking to cause lack of negative pressure which will affect carburetor/fuel performance. There must be an oiled air filter in the a...

Re: To rehone or not?

The airsal kit is cast aluminum with a nicasil plated cylinder bore and once you overheat it badly, it’s time to replace. I agree with the “if it ain’t broke.....”👍🏼
