Re: Grrr!!
You need to drain that oil from the bottom end. It won't start like that if it's full. Requires pulling the jug and inverting the case. I tried out this idea to pour a cup or so of gasoline into the spark plug hole (adjusting the crankshaft position to bdc) and let the oil mix with the gas and so m...

Ya'll are serious!harleyracer59 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 6:21 am You could always buy some Japan alloy wheels. They’re 4x110? Bolt pattern and a ruckus/zoomer rear hub bolts to them and for front i use the elite 150 front hub. Same bolt pattern. But it has 105mm diameter drum brake. For upgraded stopping power.

Re: Custom Wheels
The stock honda elite wheels are not worth it. I use chf50 wheels from a metropolitan and they are so much more sturdy and tubeless! Chrome those!MINICooperS wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 1:14 amHave you considered chrome plating your stock wheels . . . or maybe the whole scoot?

Re: 89 elite front rim on Aero question
The front rim on an 86 aero of mine had a very out of round drum so I bought an 89 elite front rim which mounted right up, but isn't quite the same... The drum dish on the elite rim, towards the brake panel, is about 3/8ths of an inch shallower id say than the aero's leaving the brake assembly pad ...

Re: Running rich
After reading your last 2 posts, I too, tend to think the jetting is too big either in both circuits or possibly you have a drilled out jet. I have seen that before-where someone will try to richen up the mixture because of an air leak somewhere or lack of an oem air box drill out a jet. Just say'in...

Re: Honda Lead NH50
New Dio for parts has small spline crank. I guess that this motor is pretty much useless :D You can run large journal crank if you buy special seal for that side only. It is sometimes available at VT cycles in Hawaii. Ask the seller a question about them. He can get them. They also pop-up on scoote...

Re: Fuel tank petcock
I really appreciate your help, the fitting closest the tank is fuel to the carburetor and the bottom fitting is vacuum to the intake manifold, but what is confusing to me is that I just disconnected the hose from the carburetor to drain the tank and the fuel all drained out, I thought there had to ...
Vacuum, bro. Suck, not blow.
Yes it is for vacuum and actually, if you have ever cleaned your carburetor and wanted to refill the bowl before kicking that thing 25 times to get it to start, you may have pulled the line off and put it up to your lips and drawn a wee bit of suction t...

Re: bent crank ?
I know that a honda af16 crankshaft can get bent on the variator side very easily by wrenching on the nut too harshly either tightening or loosening the nut. It is super easy to do. I really was not aware of it but by not using proper tools, being in a hurry, and carlessly exerting stupid amounts of...
