Re: I need help with Spree piston rings
Or could I get the .50 overs and widdle them down? I suppose there is only one chance this will work and there's the fact that the rings are gonna need a little clearence in the aluminum piston when heat begins it's process of expanding everything. Go slowly and check the clearences on anoth...

Re: I need help with Spree piston rings
Hopefully someone will read your post with that experience. You could acquire a set of those af05 O.S. rings and compare them to the broken ones you have. Best of luck with that!

Re: WTB: Running afo5 or af05e motor
Looking for a af05 preferably for a aero50 or dj1, I would buy one for a different elite just anything but the spree motor. I will pay shipping of course. -Casper There were some on eBay a week ago. Think I saw an af18 jdm Dio case set (for floor mount fuel tank) and there was an af05 running motor...

Re: Malossi afr gauge help
You use that gauge on what scooter? I think you need to connect it to a power source after the key switch. Then just turn on the ignition and it should show it's working. I don't know how it is connected so you're on your own there

Re: 114 stroker build
You could get one of those water-cooled cylinder heads I have seen around and have it ground to match up with your bore, and then you need a radiator and some coolant hose, etc. so there's a suggestion for you. I would do some research and talk to some people who have personal experience with those ...

Re: Grrr!!
You need to drain that oil from the bottom end. It won't start like that if it's full. Requires pulling the jug and inverting the case. I tried out this idea to pour a cup or so of gasoline into the spark plug hole (adjusting the crankshaft position to bdc) and let the oil mix with the gas and so m...

Ya'll are serious!harleyracer59 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 6:21 am You could always buy some Japan alloy wheels. They’re 4x110? Bolt pattern and a ruckus/zoomer rear hub bolts to them and for front i use the elite 150 front hub. Same bolt pattern. But it has 105mm diameter drum brake. For upgraded stopping power.

Re: Custom Wheels
The stock honda elite wheels are not worth it. I use chf50 wheels from a metropolitan and they are so much more sturdy and tubeless! Chrome those!MINICooperS wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 1:14 amHave you considered chrome plating your stock wheels . . . or maybe the whole scoot?

Re: 89 elite front rim on Aero question
The front rim on an 86 aero of mine had a very out of round drum so I bought an 89 elite front rim which mounted right up, but isn't quite the same... The drum dish on the elite rim, towards the brake panel, is about 3/8ths of an inch shallower id say than the aero's leaving the brake assembly pad ...
