Re: Crank bearings again !

And the saga continues ! Don't order bearings from those guys, they just sent me a $5 updated 6204 bearing for $20 each and will now have to return it. The UK bearing house only has one remaining bearing in inventory and informed me that they are impossible to find anymore so this really is an endan...

Re: Crank bearings again !

Yea I did not think it was going to fit in there, later cases probably have more meat for wider bearing races so on some scooters it might be correct. Only place I have seen these bearings so far is in UK but I will keep googlin. Guess I have more time to port out the case and do some polishing for ...

Re: Crank bearings again !

The 6204 type bearing that came out of this engine measures 20mm id x 47mm wide x 12mm thick. Has a huge alphanumerical number that does not cross reference to any other bearing. There seems enough clearance on the left side of the case half for a deeper bearing which would mean the con rod center l...

Crank bearings again !

I am in the middle of getting replacement bearings for my 87 SE50 and have read on here that the 6203 and 6204 standard bearings will work. My question is on the bigger 6204 bearing which is 2mm thicker than the OE bearing. Is there room for this thicker bearing fit in the case or is there some mach...

Re: Eliteped build

Finnished the Elite-ped project today and pleased with the outcome. Very rideable and the heavier front shocks makes it nice to ride even in the rough stuff. Now on to building my 63cc kit and squeezing some more power out of this little guy. Shaved this scooter down to 115lbs which should make any ...

Re: Eliteped build

Yea another CL find, I picked it up for $60 but the top end was cooked got a spare aero engine that runs for $75 and bought a VT cycle 63cc kit to put on the original motor after the scooter is all built and dialed in. took it for a unpowered test ride and except for the squishy front end it handles...

Eliteped build

After battling with State patrol I have given up making this a titled street vehicle so now it will make a great stand up scooter that I have been wanting to build. I took the cutting wheel to it a couple days ago and now have a rolling stand up scooter chassis and motor mounted up. I have seen this...

Re: Elite S project

After doing the math I decided to keep this scooter, it's not as bad a basket case as I thought after cleaning it up. I got a spare engine for $75 that runs good enough to get it past State inspection. Going to rebuild the stock motor later on but like the stripped down look so thinking of keeping i...

Re: Elite Ped project

Thanks for the info. I paid only $60 for the scoot, it was missing most of the plastic, the seat had become a birds nest and the last time it saw the street was 1995 in another state so were looking at about $200 lost title, inspection, relicense No way! Not too concerned with making it legal just w...

Elite Ped project

Hey guys, my first post here. I have a 1987 Elite 50 S or SE50 with AF05E stamp on case and 4 bolt reed block. I am having a difficult time making sure I am ordering parts for the right engine. I look up SE50 stuff and the reed blocks are two bolt style. Pulled it apart and there is a GR1 stamp on c...
