Re: Hp-carb selection graph

Hmmm. Anyone have an idea of what polini and malossi af05 bores are at for HP? Can't imagine it's much above 8.

Hi Wilbur, I like your curiosity, but please for peace of mind run a compression test. And I'm sure you are aware of the malossi bore for the af05e. It's worth every penny and doesn't have to be tuned to be a monster if you are worried for your wife. It will most certainly be more reliable;)

Re: Aero 50 Airsal kit w/custom pipe and carb

Benji, as hothatch has said the rear ruck rim will fit on the af05e without hitting the swing arm, but not all tires on that wheel will clear the crankcase. I'm sure you can run a 90/90 or a 100/90 without rubbing.

Re: Aero 50 Airsal kit w/custom pipe and carb

Coming along nicely. I'm a sucker for a low aero. I always prefer oem front fenders, and I bet if you shim the front susp up a touch you won't get that undesirable contact :thumbwink:

Re: CH80 TIRES and HEADLIGHT

Welcome to the forum! 1) The only tire I run on my ch80's and can definitely recommend is the continental zippy 1 3.5x10". 39.99 at motorcyclesuperstore.com. Fantastic traction and feel. Semi soft but doesn't wear too fast. I usually get about 2k miles out if a rear, and 6-7k out of a front. Th...

Re: Just picked up a CH150

Welcome Vegas! You found the right forum for sure, but as you already might know you can get a bunch of info on the 150 over at motorscooterguide.net. Take a real good look at the intake manifold. I read they are prone to cracking and my 85 150d with 1k miles was cracked. Holy crap that carb bowl...

Re: Ch80 hard turning over.

Drain the oil...check to see if gas has drained down into the crankcase. Could be a hydro-lock situation... The oil dip stick read at the bottom most notch. When turning over the engine with the plug out, no fluid expelled from the hole whatsoever. But this was my original thought as well. Greeting...

Ch80 hard turning over.

I'm reluctant to put this post up, as I havnt really fully diagnosed the issue, but I'm stuck at work all day so I'm looking for ideas. This is a friends bike who claimed he couldn't get it to start. Issue: hard turning over ( exactly like an almost dead battery). Will turn over eventually, but it s...

Aftermarket ch150 wheels

I'm curious if anyone else has seen these on amazon or ebay. Saw them for the first time last night. I have to assume they are cheaply made Chinese crap, but with that being said I'd also love to run the propellers on my ch80. Thanks guys. Also, on a different note, today I noticed the 87 150's have...

Re: Starter for 1990 Honda CH 80 alternatives.

He said the left side case ( where the starter mounts to the engine) has the same part number throughout all of the production years of the ch80. The sub harness, pinion, and holder stayed the same as well. To me it looks like honda replaced the older style starter with an updated sealed unit. It's ...

Re: Just got a Honda Elite 80

Nice 80! Get some continental zippys and go tubeless when your rear tire gets worn. Much much better road feel and gives the front end a little less vibration

Re: Elite 80 CH80 Project?

Like Curtis mentioned, the most "difficult" part of the swap will be finding a good home for the radiator and coolant lines. The mount will have to be custom ( planning to weld the frame half of the 80 mount to the engine half of the 150 mount), and I'm assuming most if not all of the 150 ...
