Case Half Sealing
Hey I'm getting ready to install a new crank and bearings in my AF16.
I purchased Yamabond 5 to seal up the case halves. It is made for high temp usage but noticed the local motorsports store has Yamabond high temp also.
Can anybody tell me if you used the Yamabond 5 to seal your cases?
Thanks!

Amsoil Saber and 10w40 Amsoil Motorcycle oil in rear end. I use that on everything.

Re: 1985 Spree AF16
Well this build is starting to ball out of control. What was supposed to be a crank bearing replacement is turning into a full blown build. I got a deal on the $100 Malossi 72cc cast iron kit from Graphite9 and decided to order a Malossi crank from him as well. I sourced a Tusk puller on the forum a...

Ebay clone carbs are never the answer. Do you have any airleaks?

Re: HI from Taiwan
Are you able to send parts to the United States? I'm sure you could make some serious $$$ on parts not found here.

You might have an airleak. Try spraying carb clean around and listen for rpm changes.

87 main jet is way too big. an 80 should do the trick. That could be hurting your top end.

Re: 1985 Spree AF16
If anybody is interested, I restored this 78 Puch Maxi over winter. I purchased a spare engine and completely blasted/ powdered and then built it. Fired it up for the first time last week and I've put quite a few miles on it. Still gotta get it timed right but its pretty close. Max temp 330F. Puch E...

Re: 1985 Spree AF16
I'm also gonna use this as a log for my tuning. Maybe others will find this helpful. Tonight I did a top speed run with my current setup: Derestricted #80MJ Polini Variator (Stock Boss) 6.9g Rollers 9:1 Gears Top speed indicated was 43mph on the flats. After that I switched to the polini 5.6g roller...
