I always wear a helmet if I ride outside my neigborhood or campground on my scooter. I always wear a helmet if on my motorcycle. ILL does not require helmets which I think is stupid. I believe you should be required to wear one on anything at the M class (125cc or above I think).

Does it somehow variate without the presence of a variator or is it just there to help you get the belt on (compress ...

That kit is good but it lacks the most important part the "gear ratio" needs to be changed without it the kit is useless, i use a 28mm oko carb on my 94 elite-s, you can save alot of money if you buy only certain parts. The kit worked well with my ZX50. Stock it ran about 43mph and with t...

Dude, make sure your oiler is working properly too. Wire that thing wide open and make sure you bleed the supply line from the tank and the injection line from the pump to the manifold.

Re: Belt

Thanks hondaman, I figured it would be something like that. How hard should it be to pull the clutch pulleys apart? Mine doesn't appear to be rusted or stuck but it takes both hands to make the inner pulley move in. I will definitely have to use a clamp when I put the belt on in place in the case. ...

Had the same prob with my 85 Spree when I first got it running. Someone had the throtte cable mis aligned, and when it started it ran wide open and vibrated itself off the kickstand. Let me just say it was no fun replacing a bumper hood aand grille on the Olds Achieva it hit when the kickstand fell...

Again, there are two slots in the slide. One slot goes the length of the slide, the other does not. The one that goes the length of the slide aligns with the notch in the carb. This is the same slot that the throttle cable fits into.

They are not 7mm bolts, that is the size socket you should use to take them off. Sounds like it has already been taken off yours.
