I consider your opinion a review and will therefore summarily dismiss it.

Re: carburator dividing like having a small and large carb ?
Re: the Boyensen "wing" products. I read several reviews. Some people swear they work well while others swear they don't work at all... so I would call the results inconclusive.

Re: carburator dividing like having a small and large carb ?
A reputable company like Boyesen would not deal in gimmicks if they did not work. The "wing" stabilizes the air approaching the slide in the bottom half of the throttle bore. Without the divider, at less than 1/2 throttle the air piles up against the entire slide, producing turbulence and ...

Re: Elite vs Zuma
Piaggio Typhoon 50 or Fly 50 (2t) or a Derbi Atlantis 2002 - 2005. The Piaggio Revolution 2t has the best stock crank and nearly always beats a Minarelli with the same mods. Parts are a little harder to get. Racing Planet usually gets parts from Germany to U.S. customers within 10 days. Shipping on ...

I was a ME student back in the seventies. Never got my degree though. Eight A.M. calculus classes never did agree with me.

Re: Limitations of Dio motor?
Yeah. I thought about that after the post. That makes my Derbi's setup a TopAir.... as I use a TP Trophy 48mm cylinder with a 5.6cc AIRSAL squish type head I want a derbi! GP1 plz! Chain final drive model and a billion bucks to mod it out..... no, seriously I like your screen name. You musta took s...

Re: Limitations of Dio motor?
Yeah. I thought about that after the post. That makes my Derbi's setup a TopAir.... as I use a TP Trophy 48mm cylinder with a 5.6cc AIRSAL squish type head (down from 7.2cc from the Trophy head) to restore the compression lost by spacing up the jug 0.8mm. :naughty: I was checking out Tillotson carbs...

All I'm saying is to utilize 28mm flow capabilities with 72 cc the motor will have to be spun to 12,000 rpm or more whether any of you like it or not.

Re: PCX Grows to 150cc (Apres Le SA, Mais Quoi?)
My two cents worth.... have you considered a used Kymco Bet&Win 250? It's basically a 150 sized 250 weighing a little over 300 lbs. Finding a nice used one could be a little difficult, however.

Re: Limitations of Dio motor?
The Polini Corsa is comparable to the Top Performance Trophy I run on my Piaggio Derbi Atlantis, jugs that will pull into the 9500+ range with the proper pipe. I suppose the basic port timings are in the neighborhood of 186/124. I've added 0.8mm base gasket and filed my piston top in the areas of th...

Re: Limitations of Dio motor?
it can't but the malossi crank supports anyways, its overbuilt, never a bad idea on a 2t crank though... yes it can. dio motors if done right can rev to 15k. custom exhaust will be needed to match the porting on the engine and case. Cool. I have an experienced pipe maker on tap that can build to my...

Re: Limitations of Dio motor?
That's not really a bad price for a Malossi race crank. Is that the stock stroke or are longer stroke cranks from Malossi available?
