Re: I need y'all's input!

@Swimmingfree : The guy said he didn't remember whether it had an 80 or 90 jet. If it's not good enough i'll take the 105 out of my buddy's bike

Re: I need y'all's input!

Not that I'm aware of. And again, I'm a kid so I really don know alot. I heard if the plug is white, it's running lean. It has to be a light Carmel color or something correct?

Re: Help with a GY6 Please.

The bike has a whole lot more compression. The timing is perfect. Flywheel is on the T. Two holes are lined up. Has spark. And the kit didn't come with a cam so its stock cam.

Re: Help with a GY6 Please.

as of right now I have to get new valve adjustment screws and a kickstart gear because the SOB backfired while trying to kick start and chipped teeth off the d*** thing and the electric start doesnt have enough power for it to crank for some reason!

Rough sketch. Lmao. But the way I was told on a youtube video was to turn the flywheel until one of the valves was pushed open and then adjust the opposite side to the right spacing, then turn it more till the ither valve was pushed open and adjust it

Re: 1986 Spree

I would start by cleaning the carb throughly, changing plugs, etc. The whole "tune up" ordeal.
And the battery thing is completely up to you. The bike will always have a charge for your headlights, etc. I had a Honda Elite that ran fine with no battery.

Re: Help with a GY6 Please.

So what you're saying is that I need to turn it a little more to compress one of the sides, then adjust the screw opposite of that to the specific spacing, and vice versa?

Re: Help with a GY6 Please.

Heres how I kept adjusting them. I had the flywheel at the T. and the two little holes lined up. then I would adjust the intake to .06 and the exhaust to .08 and I was never able to get the dang nut on.. I'll try your guys' tip when I get back home tomorrow. Thanks a bunch!!!

Re: Help with a GY6 Please.

I've actually hit another bump here.. I think the screws that you use to adjust the valves are too short? I try to set the valves and the nut that you use to keep the screw from coming out of its position won't go on. There's not enough thread for the nut to grab onto.
