Does that service manual say how to change the oil?

Bear, can you post the section for me like you did for him?

Re: rattling noise off throttle???

Sounds like piston slap to me... If the piston has a spot for a lower ring and it isn't there, I would stick one on. Some run one ring as they feel it will produce more power (less friction). But you can run the risk of excessive wear on the one ring. Does it sound like this? Go to :45 seconds in ht...

Flip the Spree...
Would be a shame to swap out motors with a scooter in such fine shape.
Save the motor swap for a POS spree that isn't in super nice shape.

Re: 1984 Honda Aero 80 new performance problems

I experienced the same symptoms after I replaced the belt and clutch shoes with factory Honda stuff.
Slower acceleration :(

Maybe the more meat on the shoes makes em heavier, thus the centrifugal force not spreading them apart as quickly into the bell?

Who knows

Re: question on buying a spree

What others have said... Spree's are UBER slow. Mine is a pit bike only and to be honest, wouldn't feel safe on any city streets with speed limits over 25mph. They truly only do 30mph stock (and take a looooong time to get there). So you won't be splitting traffic to get to the front at a red light....

Re: Spree Transmission Oil Change?

Christian- Unfortunately as you found out there is no drain plug on the final reduction box. You have to either remove the cover to drain it (you can spray it all down with brake cleaner and inspect the gears at this time if you're concerned about the condition). You may be able to buy a gasket for...
