Hi. My NE50 was not starting w/ hot engine. I'd measured the coil, checked spark, everything ok. Many road tests and problem was getting worst. Cleaned fuel tank, fuel lines, installed fuel filter, cleaned twice carb, checked compression, replaced spark plug, replaced CDI, checked CDI sensor on flyw...

Re: Need help, NE50-AF05 BBK tunning.
Hi Everyone, :b2t: Need your help, Im decided to try a good Malossi BBK (or any other good manufacturer) on my NE50 engine AF05E (Honda Vision 86-90 in Europe). The BBK installed gives me a lot of power but a lot of tunning problems (auto-ignition when hot is allways present). What's the best BBK si...

Re: Need help, AF05E engine with 46mm BBK, no power.
Hi everybody, Excellent news, my problem is solved :thumbwink: . Cylinder head was re-surfaced and polished inside. No more auto ignition and on flat road with no wind it reaches easily 70Kmh (I didn't push it more as it was the 1st ride). :worship: Thanks to all the help kindly provided by you (mai...

Re: Need help, AF05E engine with 46mm BBK, no power.
Hi 1man8scoots, Pre-ignition is one thing (air-fuel ignition takes place before the correct timing) and auto-ignition/self-ignition is another. What I've is the 2nd, the engine runs even without CDI electrical power  . Carb was checked and re-checked. Regards and thanks for yr. help. Pre igni...

Re: Need help, AF05E engine with 46mm BBK, no power.
Hi, Made my road tests today, trans is working fine/marvel, T┬║ values are normal ~300┬║F after 5Km. But the engine enters into auto-ignition when hot and running at full throttle (65 Kmh), if I disconnect the ignition with the key, it continues running with less power and out of timing. Is this a s...

Re: Need help, AF05E engine with 46mm BBK, no power.
Thanks you all for the good advices, I'll continue with a T┬║ gauge and check trans dynamically without cover .
What's the head t┬║ range and where/how is the t┬║ sender fixed to the head? Are there any pics in the forum?
After all this I'll become a Spree specialist
Kind regards

Re: Need help, AF05E engine with 46mm BBK, no power.
Yesterday made my road test with 6.2 gr variator rollers and 1% oil in tank. I've got more rev's at medium speed and less power at low speed.
But my main problem remains, no power with warm engine (after 5 KM), it seems a bad ignition timing

We could make a "chi-chat corner" for those near 60 (I've already counted 6). But remember: The time to begin most things is ten years ago. 59 now, but it seems like I was 25 just a little while ago. Time flies when you're having fun. Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana.

Hi Graphite,
The engine oil is 2T Sunoco 1/2 synthetic, the plug thread on the pics has copper grease.

Re: Need help, AF05E engine with 46mm BBK, no power.
Thanks Wheelman a lot for the professional advices: 1) Of course and logic, 20% increase in bore needs more oil. I'll add 1% 2T oil in the tank. 2) I've ordered the 6.5 gr rollers, I'll let you know the result. 3) 100KPH :nervous: :coolcruise: It's far above my goal of 80KPH, and at that speed you n...
