Re: Should I part it out or fix it?
Last year at vintage days, my aero was a hit drag racing in the campground area against guys pit bikes, they couldn't believe the little scooter was beating them up to 30 lol.

Re: Should I part it out or fix it?
It's the horizontal engine and has a front disc brake. Pulls hard but not as good off the line as my aero, but it also have big freaking tires on it. Think I'll throw some money at it and flip it.

Should I part it out or fix it?
I bought a ETON Beamer yesterday that was a former theft recovery, plastic is in pretty good shape, I need to clean off the spray paint, thankfully they didn't prep it and just sprayed it on. I got it running this morning by just draining the old gas, cleaning the carb, and tightening the spark plug...

Re: Dr. Pulley for an Aero?
If I was in the states right now I'd try and run my wife's metro variator on my Aero just to see if it works and if it works as well as the Ruckus variator.

Re: Dr. Pulley for an Aero?
It's just the stock ruckus variator I bought it off of a forum member at totalruckus. I had to shave a little off the trans case to make it fit but that's all. I'd say it does an easy 40mph on the flats and around 45 down hill, not gps verified.

Re: Dr. Pulley for an Aero?
I'm running a stock ruckus variator with the Aero weights and I max the speedometer on the flats, no other mods. The needle hits the F on the fuel gauge. It was $15 shipped, you can use a metropolitan variator as well since they use the same engine.

Re: 1986 Honda Aero 50 project
I added a ruckus variator and ran the stock aero weights, looked to be in pretty good shape and now it pulls great up top. Maxes out the speedometer, it goes all the way past the f on the fuel gauge.

Re: 1986 Honda Aero 50 project
Found a gas mask bag that I had bought a long time ago and thought it'd look perfect on the front end. So I put it on. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k242/skinnye_2006/SL370716.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k242/skinnye_2006/SL370717.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k242/skinnye_2006...

1986 Honda Aero 50 project
New here and have found this site to be a great resource, I am not new to motorcycles or scooters but this is my first aero/older honda 2 stroke. Figured I would post up my recent project. I bought this 86 aero off of craigslist for $60, it had been sitting for quite awhile with some beat up plastic...
