Re: PM has Stopped the Spree - Carb
Mike... Aero start and purrs like a kitten. However anything past 1/2 throttle causes it to bog. Sure I am screwing something up. It moves along nice... but no power band. I can put it on the stand and it will work its way up to high rev - power band (without load). Thought maybe plug.... got a new ...

Re: PM has Stopped the Spree - Carb
The petcock on the 85 AERO is beyond rare... impossible to find (order one to find out they didn't have one in stock). Finding out the 85 is a unique rig :( Work around time. I reworked the broken petcock to flow freely and pegged the vacuum line. No back up for the float plunger in the carb - but w...

Re: 85 Aero 50 - Bleeding Oil Pump
Thanks for your suggestion.... my poor little Aero. It is waiting on a $60 petcock (non standard threads). Just cleaned the rusty tank this week - vinegar 3 day bath. Was in bad shape. Already cleaned the carb - was bad also. Anyways... I pulled the pump and hooked the gear drive shaft directly to m...

85 Aero 50 - Bleeding Oil Pump
Trying to bring back to life a lost 85 Aero. The oil pump is gear driven. I have the shop / service manual and trying to bleed the system. It says to use a squirt can to reverse flow the 2 cycle oil out of the pump inlet side. When I squeeze (and I mean head) I cannot get any reverse flow? Sounds cl...

Re: PM has Stopped the Spree - Carb
Well the gas tank is clean... and I have new fuel filter and lines + petcock ready to install. In my haste I ordered the 22 MM nut with the 14.5 MM ID petcock..... it is wrong. Looks like the one I need is 16950-187-671. This petcock costs more than the scooter. Does anyone have a work around to $60...

Re: PM has Stopped the Spree - Carb
Can you verify the proper alignment of throttle slide inside the bore... slot in slide aligns with tab inside bore to allow position correct for full slide movement and also allowing throttle stop screw to align properly with the short ramp on the slide. PM has Stopped the Spree - Carb
Okay.... I have read most of the post with regard to carb cleaning. Recently bought a cherry 86 spree... with 1400 miles ($200). It had not been started in about a year and the battery was dead. When I got it home I kick it and it sputtered and tried to run. Thought it would be a good idea to drain ...
