Re: Noob with an '85 Gyro
Six.... thanks for the reply. Give me the wally world spec on the tires you are running, and I will go that way. They look cool.
I don't have the rear finder on... its on the wall - so I should be good.
Thanks again.

Re: Noob with an '85 Gyro
Hey six.... the gyro is 80% complete and been ridden so much by the kids over the last 8 months that the right side tire is bald. Thinking about buying some quad wheels per a poster on here (fleabay) in the future. I will some day do the floor panels in perforated metal like yours - turned out nice....

Re: Elite 50 HELP
Thinking it is your bystarter.... tough starting when cold. It works by allowing more gas in at start hence the enrichment circuit. If it is locked in the closed position this could be part of your problem. Please confirm STOCK airbox tightly sealed to your carb with new oiled air filter. I always h...

Re: 1985 Honda Aero 50 Strange Rattling Noise
Riddle me this... does it rattle on the center stand or only when riding. I had an 85 Aero - and it only would rattle when riding - not on the center stand. Turned out that the center stand was missing the rubber isolator that is between the stand the the frame. I liquid nailed a piece of rubber whe...

In case you don't live where you can light up a large pile of wood - the typical burner off a turkey fryer worked well for me.
Good luck.

Re: Honda Spree 86 stalls when throttle is applied
Swim is giving you the right advice.
The airbox must be factory type box with new oiled filter installed and properly sealed up with top on and secured to the carb intake side.
Confirm your airbox situation.

Re: Spree Stalls when I sit on it
Sounds like your pilot maybe clogged. It is a tiny brass tube going up adjacent to the main jet column. It must be clear to get a consistent idle after the bystarter circuit closes after warm up. Search here on the forum for pilot. Let use know once you have confirmed that is is clear.

Re: Honda Elite Sb50p Carb Issues
Listen to Pete... he knows. The float has a rubber top needle pin that stops the fuel from overflowing the carb. Take a look your assembly job, and polish the seat where the rubber tip goes.
You can 'chuck-up a q-tip with polishing compound and clean the seat.
Best of Luck.

The bystarter enriches / adds fuel when cold starting.... if you run fine once started as stated, then it is a broken bystarter ... which is broken in the out position, thus not allowing enrichment during cold starting. It is also called auto choke. You can test it many ways. Use the wikispreed, the...

Re: 1984 Honda Aero
Hello brother.... take a look at your main jet needle position. I have found that scoot with blocked pilot circuit... sometimes have their needle jack up to the rich side. These aeros too can have broken bystarters... which could leave this circuit open... causing a rich condition after start up. 1 ...

Re: '83 Aero 50 - Wants to run? Ideas, help?
No fuel to carb typical means bad petcock.... not carb.
Pull vaccum on the petcock hose that normally connects up to the intake... gas should flow out the other tube...
As motor spins it allows gas to flow to the carb... that is petcock function. I have had bad petcock twice... not that untypical.

Re: '86 Spree throttle is stuck wide open.
Its broke... so you cant break it more. Maybe you can get a very small bolt an drill a small hole where the guide should be, then put a small bolt in from the inside. Next put a lock washer on nut on the outside. Then the slide will be guided by the bolt head... you feel what I am describing? I thin...
