Re: stock spree rebuild kits
Taz says he's out of stock kits for a few months, and Im guessing the boy won't want to wait, so perhaps the BBK is for him. I'm sure he'll love the speed. We will keep you posted!

Re: stock spree rebuild kits
As usual, Pat, thanks. I messaged him on ebay today, so I'll wait and see what he says. Why both pump and mix though? Cant you grind off oil inj pump gear and just run straight mix? I did that to my 85, and I am not sure if it is the reason, but it is the best starting, smoothest running spree I've ...

stock spree rebuild kits
Sorry for the absence. My sprees ran good a couple of years and I forget stuff I learned. I recently sold my special 86 to a friend, 16lanlev which of course threw the cyl three days later. I and a friend purchased 3 stock kits from a "partsdiscounter" on ebay, all of which have failed. A ...

On the jug or the muffler? Where do you get your belts? I looked for them a few yr ago and thought they were hard to find.

Re: Derestricting the Iowa
Thanks Pat. Helpful as always. What about the exhaust restriction? This things stuck at 26, and I've ported the intake nicely. Should do 29 but its not.

Derestricting the Iowa
Greetings all. Just finished restoring an 85 Iowa. I exchanged the small exhaust for the bigger boxier 86 exhaust (cooked out on a fire.) It runs famously but 26 is it. From what I'm reading is the restrictor actually in the jug portion? Also who sells this #68? jet I would need for more SPEED? Also...

Re: Honda Spree petcock cover, revisited.
It seems to me this article of missing Spreedom would be a perfect candidate for a 3D printer reproduction? No?

Honda Spree petcock cover, revisited.
Can anyone tell me if the gentleman who was reproducing petcock covers is still offering them? Been out of the loop for a year or so, but putting the finishing touches on an 85 right now. Will post pictures shortly! Thanks. (couldn't find them on ebay)

Re: Honda Spree top end kit problems.
I hear there's a video on youtube detailing the port chamfering. My friend who has blown up 2 of the junk top end kits called the seller, who him-hawed around whether we even bought from him, and then said to send us a photo of the failed bottom ring (in all 3 cases) Never heard back from the dude, ...

Btw, that is the kit, and I did spot the untrimmed gasket problem. Do you know of a better supplier, or is this all we have?

Re: Honda Spree top end kit problems.
Glad to see I'm not the only one. I have no machine shops available to me here. Keep me posted. This sucks and I hate to give up on Sprees altogether due to inferior parts. I don't trust the thing over 2 miles! Good to hear from ya Pat. How's things in the Maritimes?
