Re: 86 Spree scooter cover, need suggestions

I store my Spree in the garage, but I recently purchased a trailer hitch/receiver and the VersaHaul VH-50cc so that I can take my scoot down to my Dad's house which is about 120 miles from where I live. I'd like to get a decent cover for it while it's riding on the back of my car. If no one has any ...

86 Spree scooter cover, need suggestions

I am in the market for a good quality cover for my 1986 Honda Spree. I found several different brands on Amazon.com like CoverMax and Dowco.

Any suggestions?

Engine life: stock Spree

Hey guys,

What kind of engine life can I expect from my stock 86 Spree, assuming I keep up with regular maintenance? Are these Honda engine's designed for upwards of say 20-30,000 miles, possibly more?

Help finding a part for my 86 Spree

In the exploded diagram below, I am looking for part #8 which is a small clip which secures the small plastic cover underneath the front of the seat. http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/model_years/385-honda-1986-spree-nq50/assemblies/5384-body-cover-84-86 It looks like the clip is no longer made. Any id...

Re: 1500 dollar spree??? What?

mm.. not sure I totally agree. It's not like mint condition Sprees are in every city of the US just waiting to be purchased. The vast majority of any 80s era scooters I see on CL are weather beaten or just torn up. Every now and then a clean one surfaces, but for the most part I see people asking $2...

Re: 1500 dollar spree??? What?

It's unlikely he will get that, but I will say a mint condition Spree sold for $900 from a Denver area Scooter shop. Condition is everything, and this one was a time capsule piece.

Re: Just registered, first post ever, check out my new 86 Sp

Thank you. It pretty much looks brand new, and it runs like it just rolled off the lot. I've been searching around on the halogen question came up short, so I am assuming there is not a replacement halogen headlight for this baby that I could order. Too bad. Thanks for the advice on the basket. True...

Just registered, first post ever, check out my new 86 Spree!

Hi everyone, This is my first post and I just wanted to show you guys my "new" 1986 Honda Spree. She has 761 original miles and pretty much sat in a garage her entire life! Questions for the Spree gurus: 1. Can the 25/25w front headlight be fitted with a Halogen bulb? 2. I think the rear b...
