Re: 90 jog exhaust ideas
I didn't get that link. Also, I found a few between $100 and $200 for a pre'02 Zuma, but I'm not sure if they bolt onto the frame the same even though both are vert mins.

90 jog exhaust ideas
I have a 90 jog and I'm looking for an aftermarket exhaust to put on him. The problem is that everything that I can find is for the horizontal min, not the vertical. Performance vert min exhausts anyone?

WTB red CG50 jog front handlebar cover
My handlebar guard is slightly damaged. I bought it that way. It sort of annoys me. It was also the wrong color, so I painted it a matte black for now, but I'm looking to buy a red one to bring it as close to stock red as possible. I found one on eBay for $100 (+$15 shipping) and I don't need it eno...

Re: who lives in michigan
Wow, keeping a really old topic alive.
I'm in Jackson and from what I read, the only one. There are a few other scooters in town, most are Chinese, one guy has a Ruckus, and there's also a Metro and a Zooma. I think I have the oldest running scooter in the town.

My first work on my jog
I recently bought a '90 Jog mostly together. This is my first scooter and I am just starting to get my feet wet, so be nice. The biggest attraction for me was cost-savings. In Michigan, a moped/scooter does not require insurance ($20/month) or a motorcycle endorsement ($40 for the test alone), regis...

Re: I need some advice
It was also missing the kick stand. I purchased a kick stand and the horn. I'm looking for some aftermarket mirrors. I'm pretty sure the threads are normal threads and not backwards ones. 8mm? I'm not sure. the guy I bought it from found it in some guy's barn on craigslist and traded an RC car for i...

Re: I need some advice
Duh, I wrote the wrong one. It is vertical. I meant to say vertical. Derp moment. I ended up buying it. It is missing the mirrors and the horn. I'll look up some aftermarket parts to see what I can get. It is fast. I know the speedometer maxes out at 30, but I must have been going 45. I'll check it ...

Re: I need some advice
Other bikes are sold. Moving on, I know its not a Spree or Elite (or Honda) but it fits my criteria. What do you think? http://annarbor.craigslist.org/mcy/3417396674.html Jogs are good, right? I inquired as to the year which will tell me which engine is in it. Looks like he took care of it. A ...

Re: I need some advice
sounds to me you are ready to get your feet wet, in scooters. Yes, I just want to make sure I don't dive in the deep end and end up over my head. I don't want to start with a project too big for me to handle. I have a mechanically inclined friend in the area, but he may not be able to help me since...

Re: I need some advice
I had an Elite E as my first Honda scooter, had I done the research, I would've passed on it for a CVT model. It was a fun little ride, but the SA50 I moved into is/was a much more versatile bike. I decided not to go with those and am still looking. I would prefer a CVT model, but if I can't find o...

Re: I need some advice
I talked to the guy on the phone, it seems a good enough deal to me.The biggest thing is that my working on lawn mower engine experience does not include transmissions and I haven't worked on a 2-stroke. I got a lot of advice from wikispreedia and it seems that a dirty carb is the most common issue....

I need some advice
I am new to the world of scooters and I want to learn about motors and how they work so I can do my own work. However, I am going to need a lot of technical help if I am going to buy a winter project bike. I realize that a project bike would motivate me to learn quickly as I would need to ride it by...
