Re: honda Elite ch150 problems.

I know this is an old thread but the solution may not be the bushing. The mounting hinge bolts shakes sometimes. Solution is to loosen the bolt for the mounting hinge, reposition and tighten back. Good luck

Re: Honda Elite 80 Missing Airbox

Of course we don't know what type of filter you have without a picture. You shouldn't run it without air box unless some other changes were made to the carb and muffler. You may need to check the carb's jets. The current air filter maybe suffice but I'm not aware of any filter that is as good as the...

Re: Newbie with Elite Eighty

After a valve adjustment and carb cleaning (with the tooth paste remedy), finally got the scoot up and going. Plastic painted back to OEM red color and new marks. Added a windshield and rear luggage trunk. With a new belt and Dr. Pulley 9 gram sliders the speed did improve but I can only get it up t...

Not to promote another forum or anything, but I had to share this restore I saw at another site. He went from average to outstanding on this Aero 50 project. http://motorscooterguide.net/Forum/download/file.php?id=619 http://motorscooterguide.net/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2560&p=14221#p14221

Re: Honda Elite 80

If the plastic is in good shape it is probably worth it. Ask him the last time he did a valve adjustment (labor only). It needs one every 5k miles or so. If it does not do 45 mph, you may need rollers/sliders and a belt (no more than $50 in parts but unless you can do it, labor is a  . Not man...

Try this forum for Honda Elite 150. BTW, that site has tons of info on North American scooters.

Re: Newbie with Elite Eighty

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I may just pull the engine to do a valve adjustment and remove carb. It's been sitting for over a year because the guy said it was hard to start. He rode the scooter somewhere, stopped and it would not start when he was prepared to go home. It has never started since...

Newbie with Elite Eighty

I've brought back to life a Helix that was sitting for seven years so I have an idea of whats needed .....I think. This scooter is much smaller than the Helix and things are harder to get to.
