Re: TOP SPEED!!
I do realize it takes alot of work to tune and what not, i am looking for speed but i cant decide what to do mod the spree or mod a dio engine and i know you can only do so much to a spree engine because it dose not have a variable front pully, if i can find a dio engine for a reasonable price i wil...

Re: 86 Honda Spree... worth 500$????
Trust me i have learned from buying non running bikes, i bought a yz 80 of a Yamaha mechanic that i have been going to for parts for years now, he sold me a bike and said it needed a new stator he said if i get that it will be running and ready to ride, well me (a 16 year old backyard mechanic) thou...

Re: TOP SPEED!!
No it probably wont work to good with the stock intake, i do know the general rule is more exhaust out, more air in. I am going to try to make my own carb adaptor for a del 17 mm carb, i think that would be big enough.

Re: 86 Honda Spree... worth 500$????
Im paying 200 bucks for a 1984 tomorrow not running but mint shape with only 3700 miles on it it just needs the carb cleaned but i still say even 200 is a lil to much for a non running spree 150 is more like it , i sold my 1986 for 300 mint shape and it needed nothing, so 500 seems pricey.

Re: Expansion chamber muffler for the Spree(taz)
The dio gets my vote. Why is the dio considered a scooter and not the spree? Canada is weird. the spree is considered a moped because it has a maximum speed of 30 and a dio is faster so they call it a scooter, Canada is weird haha but i have decided to stick with the spree because its cheap to insu...

Re: Aero 50 motor in a spree?
ok Thanks bear, is the mount like the one you have to make for the dio motor swap?Bear45-70 wrote:Yes, it is only slightly wider than the Spree engine. However you have to fabricate an engine mount.

Re: Expansion chamber muffler for the Spree(taz)
it seems like in the long run it would be better to swap in a dio motor because i could get it to go 50 mph easily with all the performance parts out there and it might be cheaper then spending alot on performance parts for a spree... Half the fun is pushing the spree that far. Performance part for...
