Re: Gyro - general thread

Hi Squar, I've had lots of luck using one-jp.com - search just using the engine code (TA01E) for the most hits. I have bought at least 50 parts from them over the year and have never had an issue. They do great packaging of your items and the shipping is fast (2-3 days). It's cheapest if you bid and...

Re: MYSTERY BEARINGS in Aero 125

Did you ever figure out the needle bearing part number or did your local bearing shop find something suitable? I did not replace the bearing in my transmission case, but rather replaced the entire trans cover complete with bearing... :urban: BTW, I have since parted a NH125 and have saved the gear ...

Re: MYSTERY BEARINGS in Aero 125

Hi, Did you ever figure out the needle bearing part number or did your local bearing shop find something suitable? I got the part number off mine and ordered one from ebay. Re: MYSTERY BEARINGS in Aero 125

The needle bearing pictured below was very long-lived...28 years. I considered that these needle bearings might be located in the crankcase fiche, regardless of how LITTLE sense that made. I acknowledge the bearings as being standard as indicated by the #'s All ball-bearings in my trans are seeming...

Re: Gyro - general thread

Thanks again! I had a trunk before when it was red, but someone took a bat to it. There was nothing in to steal, but I guess kids will be kids. I bought a very inexpensive steel basket on ebay and sent it off to have it vinyl coated. While not mounted, I had the front basket also redone in black vin...

Re: Gyro - general thread

Thank you, it was the paint shop's idea and I thought it was spot on.

Re: ****Official Picture Post...The Sequel****

Thank you, cosmetically I'm really happy with it now! Wish it were running better though. Over the last week it's become next to impossible to start and is stalling/backfiring if I run it at top speed with the throttle more than a touch open. There's more than one thing going on here but I'll see w...

Re: ****Official Picture Post...The Sequel****

Thank you. It tops out at about 55 (gps verified), but if I could get it to 65 reliably I could get rid of my larger Riva 180. I want to be able to take short rides on the freeway around my house (55 speed limit) without feeling I'm in the way. I could even start taking it to work, which would be aw...

Re: ****Official Picture Post...The Sequel****

Finally finished restoring my 125. Now if I could just get it going a bit faster I'd be all set! Under the fresh paint is a US market NH125 with several JDM additions including wiring harness, dash, controls, turn signals, headlight and seat. There is still pinstriping to do and reattaching the spoi...

Re: Gyro - general thread

There is a Stream in Austin I rode a few weeks ago. It is very rough and was never properly imported, so no title. While it would be fun to have I'm not inclined to go through the hassle. Have a look! (http://austin.craigslist.org/mcy/4602887569.html)

Re: Gyro - general thread

I got a second rear rack so I can choose between trunk or no trunk very easily. I think I like it best without the trunk now that I have the glovebox.
